Prideful

Proverbs 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. Psalm 10:4 explains that the proud are so consumed with themselves that their thoughts are far from God: “The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.” This kind of haughty pride is the opposite of the spirit of humility that God seeks: (Matthew 5:3).” Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Why is pride so sinful? Pride is giving us the credit for something that God has accomplished. Pride is taking the glory that belongs to God and keeping it for ourselves. Pride is essentially self-worship. Anything that we accomplish in this world would not be possible if it were not for God enabling and sustaining us. For who maketh thee to differ from another? And what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?” (1 Corinthians 4:7). That is why we give God the glory—He alone deserves it.

The moment you start taking credit for what God gave you, you are just daring God to come and smack you around. God will not share his glory with anyone and he will not sit idly by while we attempt to shove him out of the picture. If we choose not to listen to God, he turns up the volume until he has our undivided attention. The best way I know to put this is be prideful, take credit for God’s work, but be ready for the fire, because when you least expect it you will be burnt.

God wants us to take pride in all we do, rather it be in cleaning house, at our workplace, taking care of our families, but He also wants us to give Him all the glory, for He gave it all to you. He created you in His own image. He died on that cross, He could have been prideful, but no, He gave all the glory to His Father. Take time and thank God for all your blessings. Use the wisdom that He gives you, and if you are weak, ask for His help. His assurance is all I need, for I know He will not let me down. God bless each of you this day.

"The Word of God”

Jesus relied on the Word of God alone to overcome obstacles, including the devil. God's Word is alive and powerful (Hebrews 4:12), useful for correcting us when we are wrong and teaching us what is right. 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I know I would not want to think about what my life would be like without God. Each day is new and exciting, even with the world issues and family issues, I know that I can conquer all because I have a Heavenly Father who see’s, me thru everything. If you are seeking spiritual guidance in your life there is one who I know is willing and able to guide you…JESUS CHRIST! People alone cannot provide this spiritual guidance. Jeremiah 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

We have the best Father in the world, He teaches us right from wrong, He forgives us when we do wrong, and He never leaves nor forsakes us. When our world is falling apart, He is there within seconds, just for the asking.

Jesus relied on the Word of God alone; I now rely on God’s word “The Bible” to guide my daily life and to help others along the way. My God is alive, seek Him out today, study His word and you too will have guidance in your life.

Father we live in a world where many of us have come to the realization that we need Your Divine direction and guidance, Father I come before you this day to ask you to lead me. In all I do I acknowledge you and give thanks for your wisdom, strength, and peace within. Help me to understand your will in my life. Help me to do your will. Keep my focus on the path of righteousness. Touch my soul and heart So that I know it is you, and only you that is directing my path. Father please bless and lead everyone who reads this with your wisdom in their lives.  We thank you in Jesus Holy Name, Amen!

Who Are your friends?

True friendship is one of the great gifts of life. The word "friend" is found about ninety times in the Bible. A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Prov. 18: 24). Thine own friend, and thy father’s friend, forsakes not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbor that is near than a brother far off. (Prov. 27: 10).

An example of a close friendship in the Bible can be found in 1 Samuel chapters 18-20. Jonathan, who was the son of King Saul, was close friends with a man named David (who became a king later on). Long before David's reign as king, David became quite popular with the people because of his victories over the Philistines in battle. Unfortunately, that popularity made King Saul extremely jealous and full of rage, so he sought to kill David in order to protect his throne. However, Jonathan warned David of his fathers’ every move, which allowed David to escape physical harm.

Good friends will have a positive influence on you. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12) says, Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.11 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Jesus Christ demonstrates the ultimate friendship. John 15:12-14 says, 12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

As you can see from this verse, Jesus Christ is the perfect example of a true friend because He sacrificed Himself for us.

Dear friends, I write this today to let you know that I am here for you, always, thru good times and those not so good times. A true friend does not run out when times get tough. Jesus loves us no matter if we are having a good day or a bad day. He is always right there with us, holding us up, He gives us strength and courage to get thru everything we face in life. Right now, I have friends who are struggling with health issues, mental issues, financial woes and family matters. I need all these friends to know that I am here. I will not run away. Sometimes, our shoulders feel weighed down as we can’t handle anymore, I found the past few days that this was when you have to be able to give them to God, so that you can be strong yourself to continue being a great friend. My precious friends I love you and thank you for all that, you do for me. God bless each of you.

Cast you cares on God

Do you find that when you are around certain people, you feel tired, exhausted, sick or just down right depressed, whereas before you had been just fine. They seek you out to tell you about all their problems and after they have gone you are left feeling emotionally shattered, drained and sad yourself.

At the moment, I feel weak, tired, I feel like  I feel isolated, I cant talk to my friends or family . I want to live my best life. I want to feel closer to God . I want to feel happy, healthy and I want to step outside myself and do something for others. Do you feel this way, well don't feel that you are alone, there are many of us that love the Lord and love to do for others.  There are times that we all need to be lifted up ourselves. When I need some place to keep my mind occupied from the struggles of this world, I read the Bible.  Sometimes when helping others you have to find that calm place that you can just get into prayer and spend quality time with the Lord and let Him know all that's going on with your friends and all that come to you.  The hardest thing is leaving it with God.  We can only be concerned and pray for all needs, but we have to be able to walk away or you will be swallowed up into the darkness called depression.

1 Peter 5:7 (King James Version) 7Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. To let go doesn't mean to stop caring, it just means that only God has the strength to carry every ones burdens. You will still pray for them and love them.
Proverbs 3:5 (King James Version)5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
God often places a weight upon us to accomplish something important in our life. When we run away from God’s will for our life, we’re headed for disaster. We need to obey and submit to whatever God is calling us to do. God lays burdens upon our heart to guide us.Therefore, it’s important to understand that not all burdens are bad—many of them are very good for us because they direct us to God’s purpose for creating us.

The next time someone is telling you their problems and you feel burdened, remind yourself that this might just be what God intended.  Whats His purpose for your life?  I Praise Him today and ask that He use me for His will and not mine, If that means helping others thru their problems then I am ready to serve.

“Is Your Tank Empty”

Do you remember the last time you were driving down the road and noticed that your gas tank was on "empty"? How did you feel? If you are like most of us, you started feeling anxious. Having plenty of fuel for your car is very similar to having reserves for yourself. When you are running on "empty" with regard to time, money, space, love, faith, satisfaction, or companionship, you will feel the same negative emotions you felt when driving with an empty gas tank. Running out of gas is not a good thing for our bodies, our lives, and us. When we go below empty, the game changes, we get lost in self-uselessness. I have allowed myself to get on empty recently, feeling like I just cannot feel full no matter what I do. Sure I eat too much, thinking this will make me feel better, but actually only adding to the issue at hand. I have been stuck in a rut for awhile now, just working on my book and trying to please others, only finding myself drained, mentally exhausted, just want to come home each day and go to sleep. Some call this depression, and at this point I probably would agree. It seems the more I try to do, the further in the hole I seem to get, so on this day that I write this… my tank is empty. Where do I go now?

“Hear my cry, O Lord; attend unto my prayer. From the ends of the Earth, will I cry unto Thee, for when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For Thou has been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.” Psalms 61: 1-3

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 "Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.Psalm 18:16

I love reading the Psalms at any time, but especially when I am stressed, hurting, or in need of prayer and God's peace.  I don't know why but "Be still and know that I am God" is very special to me. I can almost hear God telling me those words, comforting me, stilling me.

Father I come unto you in prayer now: I know that when I cannot pray, you listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and cannot find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who do not know you intimately. I pray for those that do not believe. I thank you that I believe. I believe that you do change people and things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs be met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than You Father that every battle is in your hands for you to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it. Father I have a special friend who needs to feel forgiven so that he too can receive all that you have for him, I ask for this peace today, and a forgetful heart for him, that he can be stronger in you. Thank you Father, for this all in Jesus name, Amen!

“Are you suffering or depressed”

Do you feel as though your suffering or pain are caused or allowed By God, because you did something wrong? You say, "I didn't do anything wrong. Why am I a sinner?" We are all born with a sin nature. We inherited our fallen sin nature from Adam and Eve. Romans 5:12 says, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" We read in Romans 3:23 that ALL HAVE SINNED and come short of the glory of God. Why do we suffer? We suffer because we are sinners by nature.

What do you need from God as reassurance that He cares about you and loves you?

• His promise that things will get better?

• His Word that He will never leave you?

• His help through people who care?

• His peace that only He can give to you?

You have all the above, He gives you it all in His word.

God is never as far as He might feel or as we might believe. He is
more present than you can comprehend. He loves you
ARISE [from the depression in which circumstances have kept you
--rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord),
for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.

-Isaiah 60:1 1Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

Sometimes He will even use the tragedy of one to bring OTHERS to Christ. Such is the case with Lazarus in John chapter eleven. Lazarus was very sick, but before he ever died Jesus said that his sickness was "for the glory of God" (Jn. 11:2-4). Later, in John 11:45, we read that ". . . . Many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him." We also read in John 12:11 that many believed on the Lord Jesus Christ BECAUSE OF LAZARUS. Had Lazarus not suffered and died, these people may never have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. You see, God was in complete control. Jesus KNEW that Lazarus was sick, but He chose not to go and heal him (Jn. 11:6). He had a REASON for the sorrow and death in the family of Lazarus. No one suffers in vain. God always has a reason, and sometimes He is trying to show someone his or her need to receive the Lord Jesus Christ. Could this be true in your own life? Think about it. Could the Lord be convicting you of the fact that you are a sinner, and you need to be saved?

Today is about living, with dreams and goals for tomorrow. Depression controls who we are and what we do with our lives. If you are clinically depressed reach out for the medical help that you need as well, but please reach out to God for survival and for answers to what’s causing your pain and hurt. Arise today and let your light shine. There is not an area or detail in your life, which God will not be willing to help you out with, no matter how small or trivial you think it may be. God bless each of you.

Living out our Frustrations

We must accept the fact of our anger. Ask those around you if they sense a spirit of anger in you. Acknowledgment is the first step of overcoming anger. Why? Our pride does not make it easy to say that we were wrong in our actions, words and judgments.  Face the real issues (Gal 5:13-26)

We must acknowledge that man's anger will not accomplish God's work...When was the last time you was out of control with your anger?  How did you resolve the issues that were bothering  you?  Did you turn to Jesus for answers and wisdom?

James 1:19-20
This you know, my beloved brethren. But let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. Anger from the past must be acknowledged and confessed. Amends need to be made. Apologies for silent or open anger must be made. We also need to apologize for not loving them as you should have.Anger in the present and future must be cut off. You must recognize man's anger is not going to accomplish the righteousness of God. You will confess that you have been responding to your own selfish desires and have focused on your own will and life, not on God's will and purpose.identify the source of your hard feelings. Ask yourself, Why am I reacting like this? With whom am I upset? What’s causing me to behave this way? Once you’ve figured out where your annoyance comes from, deal with it quickly—when bitterness is allowed to build up, we become prime targets for the Enemy.

Pauls advice is wise: “Do not let the sun go down on your anger” (Ephesians 4:26).

Finally, we need to forgive whoever is the source of our hurt. When we feel injured, that may seem too difficult, but it is the most important aspect of dealing with anger. How can we fail to pardon someone else when our heavenly Father forgave us by offering His Son as a sacrifice?

Anger doesn’t have to control your life. If you’re a believer, the Holy Spirit empowers you to walk in a Christlike manner.  Ask for delierance from all the anger you have built up..Love each other and give forgviness and receive as well...

God love and bless you each...Anger accomplishes nothing, give it to God and live happily.

Today has been a day of Revelation for me. As i have sat here and felt sorry for myself  a friend reminded me of what i have to look forward to. I have felt so alone and lonely and I needed to be filled with Gods Holy Spirit. I decided i should get in prayer and ask God for His divine help, ok, so i didn't really, this friend told me to get in prayer. I did, Praise God! I now feel so renewed, its amazing how God can uplift us just like that.

This is the message God gave me: You are a special woman and you are here with a path to travel. There's many people who are grateful for you and you might not realize that. Life needs you and that's because life has given you a path that only you can travel, and no one else will do.

I wanted to share that with you today, God uses me and I am blessed to be here today, and i am grateful to him and to all those that love me.  I know that i am not the only one that ever feels alone and empty. I ask today that you too get into prayer and ask for your message, you aren't alone, God is with you.

I would like to share some encouraging Bible verses with you now, along with an uplifting message. “The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.” (Nahum 1:7)

Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.” (Psalms 126:5-6)
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28 )

Without a doubt, Paul was a man who had great faith! He understood what it meant to go through hard times, and knew God well enough to believe that he could depend on Him to deliver him from anything that the enemy would throw at him. He knew what it meant to be abased and to abound, to be full and to be hungry, and to suffer need. Yet in everything he would say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:12-13)

Perhaps  today you’re going through some trials, and feel that you’re carrying a burden that’s just too heavy to bear. You might even feel like giving up. Perhaps you feel like nobody cares about you enough to take the time to understand what you’re going through. Well, Jesus has something to say to you:

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:1-3)

God loves us so much, just ask for His help today as I did....God bless you each and everyone!

Every man and every woman are equal in God's eyes!

"He created all the people of the world from one man, Adam." Acts 17:26

Why can’t we all get along? Often we act more like children fighting over toys in the sandbox than like brothers and sisters in Christ. Our Father sees his children. When we gather around God’s throne, he knows each of us by name. God knows who we are and what we are like. God knows all our flaws and loves each one of us—unconditionally. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now; it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. And every one who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure." (1 John 3:1-3) When we look at each other, we see skin color, size. Not God…we are all equal in God's eyes! There is no race when you are blessed with God's grace. Even the faith that God gives each person is equal.

You have to know what separates you from God and His blessings. And this is one of the biggest ones that does.

"Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgment you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get." Matthew 7:1-2

God makes it very clear what happens to us when we start judging others when we start to agree with Satan that we are better than someone else is. For with what Judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again" Matthew 7:1-2 No matter what skin color or gender a person may have or be, they are equal. Genesis 1:26(KJV) - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Nowhere does that read, let us let only one race have dominion or I only like the white, or the black, etc. It reads, let us make man in our image…thank about that the next time you think you are better, prettier, or more handsome than someone else is, because in Gods eyes we are all beautiful, because He created us all in His own image.

"What's it matter to gain the whole world and still lose your soul?" Matthew 16:26

"Heartache"

Today I have experienced much heartache, well it really started last night when a friend decided they would tell others they did not know me and no longer had love for me. It brought memories of Jesus telling Peter he would say he did not know Him three times before the rooster crowed, and of course, Peter denied and said it would not happen, but it did…just as it did to me last night, and I would of never of dreamed this friend was capable of letting me be that hurt. Today, I got a phone call that my sister had a heart attack, and I felt like my world just ended, my heart just aches so badly, then I had to go get injection in my knees so I just let my heartache explode. All along I was saying to myself satan get behind me, there is no room in my life for you, for I serve God.

Its times like these that we really have to reach outside of ourselves and trust in God for the answers. He is that friend who will never ever hurt us or leave us. I need Him today, I ask for His guidance today, and I ask for a heart of forgiveness, for I know I have to forgive this friend, because I can’t let anyone keep me from my journey inside Heaven’s door. I want to walk thru and not be stopped at the door and asked why could you not forgive? Therefore, this day I forgive you for taking my heart and trashing it and for saying, you did not know me. I forgive you in Jesus name. Repentance is actually a very positive walk into the grace and acceptance of God. Instead of binding and condemning us, it treats us as free sons and daughters liberated by the grace of God. Because God is good, and committed to be good to me in my sin, I can embrace repentance daily.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Heavenly Father, You are intimately aware of the struggle I am experiencing -- the pain and the despair. You know the desire of my heart to be healed and for the healing of my sister Nancy from our illnesses. I ask now for Your healing touch. I know that You are able and that just like in Bible times, You can heal us. Father I thank you for healing for that friend that hurt me so, I ask that you give him a heart of discernment and a heart to seek after you. Heal him Father of what ails him spiritually and physically. Father there are many out there that suffer, I ask for your tender touch on their bodies and souls. Father we thank you for our friends who have passed that you take their souls and forgive their transgressions as you forgive us ours as well. Thank you for it all in Jesus Holy Name! Amen!

The Woman I Want To Be

I want to bring new life into my home, my workplace, anywhere I am. I know no matter how hard matters of the home or heart are, God is everything. I am so hungry to tell others about Him, to lift His name. I want others to know that their life can be so much better when they know what matters the most, and that is loving and honoring God in everything. With God’s help you can do all things, sure some things are harder than others, and some days are so difficult you think you can’t get out of bed, but if you pursue the Lord they will be simpler. This is what I want to be, a woman who teaches others how to smile and reach out and touch someone else. A smile goes a long way, but a kind word goes even further.

I want to grow in the Lord every day; I want to be the woman He wants me to be. I want God to be my best friend. He is the one I go to with everything, and I will continue. I want you to be all you can be in Christ too. "A Heart for Service” I want to serve others unselfishly as Jesus did, Jesus even became servant to man. Do you remember at the last supper, HE washed His disciple’s feet? We need to follow His example and try to serve in any way we feel God is leading us to do.

God created you. Not only that, he loves you so much that he wants you to know him now and spend eternity with him. Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."

Jesus says, "Come to me." "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me... out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."9 It was Jesus' love for us that caused him to endure the cross. In addition, he now invites us to come to him, that we might begin a personal relationship with God.

Just knowing what Jesus has done for us and what he is offering us is not enough. To have a relationship with God, we need to welcome him into our life

This is what it takes to be all that He wants you to be. I hope you will start today by accepting Him into your life. Be the man or woman that He wants you to be. In Christ I love you my friends!

"Bored"

Today has just been a ho hum day, just plain old boring. I had so much on my mind today, emptiness, loneliness. There is just so much going on around me, and not a thing I can do, but sit and watch it. I feel helpless. This is the first day that it has been so hard to write, since I first started in January, but I know in all of this there is a message. John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they, which testify of me.

Philippians 2:14-16 (King James Version) 14Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

Live day-to-day bored, without a sense of purpose. Haveing trouble identifying your purpose. Ignore God's purpose for your life. You are consumed by your difficulties and troubles. Does this sound familiar in your life as well. No where to turn, upset, heartbreak one after another. Well this message hit me like a ton of bricks.

You have a choice about your attitude, about how you approach life, about turning to God for "boredom cure." Life does not need to be boring or meaningless for Christians. You can choose to approach every day and every activity with a spirit of adventure, regardless of your situation.

You have a purpose and are called to a great journey—to touch people's lives for God.

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10).

In Samuel 14:1-15, we read about Jonathan, a man who succeeded against impossible odds because he battled in the power of God.

Give your troubles and your life in prayer. Stay close to the Lord. Remember that you are a soldier in Jesus' army, not the general of your own army. When you walk in God's strength, you will not be bored!

Well I searched the scripture and I am glad I did, for Jesus did have the message. God bless each of you today! I will work on turning hurt and boredom into working more for my Saviour. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33).

• Resist the devil (James 4:7).

Advice

When was the last time you looked to your elders for advice?  In 1 Kings the Bible tells us that older people often  give wise advice.  1 Kings 12:1-11 Jeroboam returned to Egypt, He had fled Egypt to escape King Solomon,  the Israel leaders had summoned him as they wanted to go talk to Rehoboboam to ask him to lighten up on them.  His father Solomon had been cruel and harsh on them.  Rehoboboam told them to give him three days to think about it.  During this time rehoboboam went to the elders and asked their advice, they gave him good sound advice, told him to give the people a break and he could promise they would be good servants  forever.  Well that wasn't good enough for Rehoboboam so he decided to go  to the people he grew up with and get their advice.   They led him completely in the wrong direction, they told him to be even meaner than his father had been.  Well this is the direction Rehoboboam took and his life fell apart as you will see when you read vs 1-20.  See Jesus already knew the outcome.  Just as He knows where our lives are headed.

The next time you need advice seek the council of your elders, they always seek Gods advice for He wont stir you wrong.  Remember to be successful in life you will need advice.  Proverbs 11:14 where no council is the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.  always be willing to give "good" advice to others, but only if its from God, never mislead anyone, for God knows and sees all.

Appearance

You woke up today, fixed coffee, brushed your teeth and combed your hair.  A big day in front of you.  Laura or Sam may be at Church.  I have to look prettier than her, I sure hope he notices me.  How many Sunday  mornings have you thought  about how you look?  I won't lie, I have done that before, I wanted to be seen, but that was before I had Jesus completely in my heart and soul.

Do you really believe God is impressed with that new dress or new suit?  1 Samuel 16:7...But the Lord said to Samuel, look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him; for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man  looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.  Do not worry about your clothes for they will not get you into Heaven.  If you are a christian start caring  more about your spiritual welfare and quit judging others by what they wear or their body appearance.  God blesses you with all that is necessary to survive, and He is happy to supply pretty things for you too, However, He has to come first, so next time you go to Church remember its to worship Christ not to get someone Else's attention,  I guarantee you will be noticed outwardly for whats inwardly.  Take a few minutes and read Proverbs 31:30.

The House of the Lord is a place of worship, to sing praises to our Heavenly Father.   He welcomes you with open arms into His home, so please be respectful, and give all your attention to Him.

Procrastination

How many of you needed to do something yesterday but you found every excuse possible to put it off till today.  If i had a nickel for every time I had done this I would be rich.  For me its dusting the house.  How many times have you told someone you would pray for them and then you put it off and then just totally forgot.  That can be a serious problem for the person needing that prayer if God was waiting for you to be a faithful servant.  We can't procrastinate in choosing to serve the Lord.  Joshua 24:15  And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the God which your Father served that were on the other side of the flood, or the Gods of the Amorites, in who's land ye dwell; but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

What would happen if God procrastinated?  You need surgery today, but He don't have time to hear prayers for you today, would you want to go under the knife?  How would that feel to know He just don't have time for you?  Maybe its your mom or dad in need of Gods help, will you trust the doctor without being able to go to God, to only be told sorry i don't have time today.  Well Praise God you don't have to do that for see God doesn't put your life at risk by procrastinating.  How do i know this, well His Holy word tells me  Habakkuk 2:3  For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it shall speak, and not lie; thought it tarry' wait for it because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

Is today your day to accept Jesus into your heart, or will you put that off too.  No one can procrastinate forever.

Revelation 10:6  tells us time be be no longer.  Don't putt off today what you should do today, for it is your life that is at stake.

Jesus loves you, today, tomorrow and always.  Love yourself and give your heart to God.

Fishermen

As I sit on the balcony in Destin Florida overlooking the beautiful green blue waters of the ocean I see many boats, all fishing vessels and i think back of Jesus and the fishermen of old days.  All these hundred of years later and God is till providing fish for His people.  What a generous God we serve.  My God is too good to even be described, never once has He let me down, or strayed me in the wrong direction.  God helps people when they are in trouble, He is all. Knowing our provider, God is love.

Our gulf is in a crisis with the oil spill, many of Gods creations are being destroyed, however God will supply the needs for this mess, for He is full of grace, and His grace supplies hope.  I hope the leaders of BP look to God with integrity and respect and ask for His wisdom to clean this up without any more destruction to Gods bountiful beauty.  I ask in prayer today for help for those trying to help and for authority to solve these problems in hand.  As these fisherman are out working today I ask for Gods hand in the nets and on the poles that fish will be abundant.  In all things I give Thanks, Glory and Praise in Jesus Holy Name.  Amen!

Moses and the Burning Bush

Exodus 3
This is a story of when Moses was out minding his own business tending his father n law Jethro's flock.  Moses had taken the flock pretty far out into the wilderness when before him was the mountain of God (Sinai)  out of nowhere and angel appears to Moses in a blazing fire in the midst of a bush.  Moses was so amazed he wanted to go closer to see what was going on.  He just couldn't understand why the bush wasnt engulfed and burning up.  As he gets closer the bush God calls to him Moses! Moses!  Moses tells God I am here.  He warns Moses not to come any closer.  He tells him to take off his shoes for he stands on Holy ground.  He lets Moses know He is the God of His Father.  Moses is so asoutnded he covers his face.  God is here this day to tell Moses he is to go and lead his people of Israel out of Egypt.

When was the last time God came before you?  Did you listen?  Did you tell Him no, I can't as Moses does?  Will you give the message that God gives Moses to let them know that it is Him.  "I AM WHO I AM" or will you walk away and pretend to yourself God really doesn't talk to me?

I lift my hands to the Heavens today and ask that God use me as He did Moses and that He won't allow me to walk away when He speaks to me.  I hope to hear that each of you ask God to speak to you as well, and more importantly that you hear what He has to say.  God bless you!

Music

We all love to listen to our favorite music.  We have songs to dance with, songs to relax us, then there is our favorite, for me thats country.   The churchs of today play modern, with all the instruments, of course some still play the old timey religious gospel.  When was the last time you played music for God?

In the book of Exodus chapter 15 verse 1 and 2 we find Moses and the children of Israel singing to the Lord.  what a beautiful song they are singing...The Lord is my strength and song and he is become my salvation;  He is become my salvation: He is my God, and i will prepare him an habitation;  my Father's God, and i will exalt him.  Read 3-6, to get the rest of the song.  In colossians chapter 16 we learn that we should let the message of Christ dwell in us.  Listen to this.  vs 16, Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing once another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Take time today and give thanks unto the Lord with a song.  A song of heart, sing out His praises with no shame in your voice or heart, Let others listen.  If only one hears and receives Christ thru the merriment of your song, how happy will your Father in Heaven be?

Sing praises, Holy, Holy, Holy is thy name!  Amen

Psalm 91:11 Gods love

Today some wonder if God really cares for them, others feel as if an angel is watching over them, me i feel afraid, afraid of failure, afraid of success.  In whom shall comfort succumb?  Where shall I turn?

He that dewlleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God; in Him will I trust.
Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust; His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thy shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day.
Nor the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastest at noonday:

Verse 11:  For He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thess in all thy ways.

Please read the entire verse and remember God is your Protector.  Jesus loves you my friends as do I.
God bless you!

Complain, Complain and Complain

I find myself complaining about everything.  I think back just a couple of months agao when it was cold, how i complained that I couldnt' wait to feel the sun again.  Well its warm now, so what do i do?  I complain, I can't get comfortable, Im sweaty, if i could just sleep, its so hot.  As i write this i am laughing at myself.  Least i have a roof over my head, their are many who don't.  How foolish was the complaining now?  The book of Psalms tells us to bring our complaints to God, in chapter 142, verse 1 and 2...
I cried unto the Lord with my voice, with my voice unto the Lord but I make my supplication.  I pourded out my complaint before him, I shewed before him my trouble.

As i was studyung tonight I came to a scripture that tells me that a christian should not complain to another christian.  When i realize what this is saying i feel so weak, for its so true, and i am so guilty.  We should be encouraging each other, lifting each other up in prayer.  Phillippians 2:14  Do all things without murmurings and disputings, vs 15 That ye may be blameless and harless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.

Wow!  Those scriptures summarize it for me, I hope it does for you as well.  I want the world to see Gods shine in my eyese whey they look at me.  I want to have christians around me whom want to encourage me, as i want to repay with love, understanding and encouragement for all.
God bless you this day!

"Comfort"

Sometimes all we need is a little comfort from a family member or even a friend.  I find I have fair-weather friends.  You know those that come around when they are down, or they are in need themselves.  As a christian we are suppose to be there for them.  In the book of Job, Chapter 12 vs 11 you will find where we are told this:  Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was to come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Elipaz the Termanite, and Bildad, the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamahite; for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.
You will see in vs 12, they even wept when they saw him far off.  In vs 13 they sat with him for seven days and seven nights; for they could tell he was in great pain from grief.

How many of you would give up your time for a friend?  Even a day.  Seems these days we all say love you and tell each other you are my friend. however when it comes a time that we or they are needed, no where to be found is where we all are.  Where was you the last time a friend reached out to you?  Take time and think aobut this then give it to God and ask how you too can come to change and be a better friend and christian.  I know I now will give all my friendships to God and not take them for granite anymore. I found through writing this that God's Holy Spirit is my comforter.  In John 14:16 it reads:  And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another comforter that He may abide with you forever.

Take time today and thank God for all your friends.  God bless you today my friends!

"Money"

I Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

The issue of money is large not only in Jesus' teaching, but in our lives. It's a huge issue and not much of the news is good news. We all get so wrapped up in what everyone else has, is it designer, where did you buy it? Sound familiar. But don’t we all secretly envy the rich and famous? Don’t we believe that if only we were rich, it would solve all our problems? Don’t we long to be recognized and loved by millions of people? This craving for fortune is nothing new. Two thousand years ago Jesus said, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." (Mark 10:25 ) rich people make wealth their number one priority instead of God. They spend most of their time making wealth, spending it, and increasing it. Truly, money becomes their idol.

God won’t stand for that. He told us so in his First Commandment: "You shall have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3). 3Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Why is that? Jesus, who knew the human heart better than anyone ever has or ever will, understood that it's a matter of priorities.

"In this world, you think people are important because they have power or wealth, or because they tell others what to do," said Jesus. "But that's not how it will be for you. In God's kingdom, you must learn to serve. If you want to be at the very top, then you must be like a servant to everyone. Even the Son of God doesn't come to be waited on; He comes to pour out His life for everyone." Mark 10

Today, we still believe the lie that money can buy happiness. We have God, but we want more. Just like Adam and Eve, we desperately desire to be bigger shots than we are. Satan lied to them then, and he’s still lying to us today. Instead, it’s time to turn our eyes to our intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s where we’ll experience our greatest fulfillment. That’s where we’ll finally find all the riches we’ve ever wanted. We are very selfish and take so much for granted, Money will buy you pretty clothes, jewelry, maybe richer friends to hang out with, but what you will be missing is God. Wealth can steal away your most precious gift…YOU AND YOUR LOVE FOR GOD. Rethink the importance of your earthly riches, for there will not be a u-haul behind that hearse...store up here on earth what you will need to enter Gods Heavenly Kingdom. Love, Trust, Faith, Hope, Joy, love all, reach out, Read the best book ever written and learn Jesus’ story. He loves you, and He will provide all that is needed for you to survive.

God Bless All….

Sin free?

You may say, "You do not know how bad I have been. Surely God could never forgive me." I say, it does not matter how bad you have been, God will forgive you. The secret is, "He that covers his sins will not prosper, but he that confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy." I tell people who think this way, "You have to know how bad you are, before you get to God through Jesus Christ."

You may say, "I have tried before and I always go back into my old sinful lifestyle. I have disgraced God so many times I do not know how He could ever forgive me." Just keep trying. You can do it. I do not know how many times I had stumbled before I finally accepted God's love and grace. God forgave me. He will forgive you and give you a heart that can do God's will. Do not give up. Just keep looking up and yielding your will to God's will.

You may say, "I like my sins. I do not want to be forgiven." I say; when you realize what your sinful life is doing to you, remember God is waiting to forgive you. In the day you seek Him with all your heart, He is waiting to forgive you. However, do not wait too long.

Does all this sound familiar? I know I have been there myself, but I am thankful that I now have God’s forgiveness for my stupidity. Do you love yourself? If not this is where it all needs to start. We all have to love ourselves as we love our neighbors, and we too have to find forgiveness for ourselves. If you’re carrying a load of guilt, because you are finding that you can’t be good enough for God, take another look at Jesus’ death and what it means for you. That old devil is up to his tricks again… Christ can heal your conscience and deliver you from the frustration of trying to earn God’s favor. Give your life over to Jesus today and live a life of love for self and for others. We serve an awesome God.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (Romans 5:1)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

The result of unforgiving sin is death. But God's gift is eternal life given by Jesus Christ our Lord. He is the only One who can bring us back to God. He died on the Cross and rose from the grave, paying the penalty for our sin and bridging the gap between God (Romans6:23). 23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Admit you are a sinner and ask for forgiveness. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave. . Through prayer, confess that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and commit to live for Him for the rest of your life. Then remember Jesus forgets all sins when given to Him from a righteous spirit.

“Cloudless Day”

Do you remember the last time you had a cloudless day? A day when all had smiles upon their faces with no care about them and their smile was contagious and infectious; you could not help but feel the smile for yourself. It was as if a smile was there because of a song in their heart. Maybe it came from the joy of playing music or singing. With life in their every step, harmony with God in their soul. Everything about them seemed so original and honest. Where does it come from? Why can’t I find this cloudless day without the dark and gloom about me? Gloomy and overcast, is this your destination today?

Such a day as this shall come for all of us. However you have to want it and know how to go about receiving it. The sky was bright and clear, I could see the sun, and I could hear the song. I was crying out Father, help me to believe, give me faith, and give me hope. Tears streaming down my cheeks as I cry out, where is that peace, why do I see such darkness, please Father hear my cries. Without you Jesus’ there is no life in me, you are more than just a part of me, you are the heart of all and everything around me. You promise to come to the rescue of your children who cry out to you.

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

Oh Father I knew your heard my cries and I knew you felt each tear as it ran down my face, I reach out today, please hold me Father, give me strength to get back on my feet, help me to find my cloudless day.

"If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us." "For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you." 2 Chronicles 20:9,12

I have no power Father; I am helpless alone, just as Jehoshaphat was during that time.

Well, that pretty much sums up how I have cried out for God today. His word tells me to cry out to Him, to go to Him thru His Son. This was my cry out today as I found pain overwhelming, I knew if I ask I would find comfort, so I did. He reminded me “I will deliver my children when they cry out to me. Do I see the cloudless day today, no, will I, surely goodness and mercy I will for this is His promise .

"Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me." Psalm 50:14-15

"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him." Psalm 91:14-15

Read Psalm 107 today and note how God is pounding home a very strong message in this psalm. The message is "cry out to the LORD, and he will deliver you.

"He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them." Psalm 146:19

Faith flowed like a river free and deep as the tears ended with his everlasting comforting peace. God bless you today my friends.

Are you imprisoned?

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Sin is as if a prison sentence handed down, when we know right from wrong and do wrong anyway we put ourselves in a place that we struggle to get out of. All of us may find ourselves "in prison." A "prison" is the circumstances that we cannot change. It may be the place we live, the job we are "stuck in," the person we married, or a hundred other things that may constitute the boundaries of our life. We often struggle to change these circumstances and are either unsuccessful, or successful. In these conditions, it is easy to blame God for our circumstances, to complain, and even to become bitter against others and against God. There seems to be no way out, even though God has forgotten us. Does this sound familiar? When does a prison cease to be a prison? Isn't it when we stop trying to get out? When we stop shaking the bars or looking for a hole in the wall, we become free to look around at other things. Sometimes, we can see others that seem to be in a prison of their own and you want to help them, and do. Whom do you think benefited the most when you reach out to others? Yes, we did help others, but we are the greater winners. Why? Because a working begins to take place in our own hearts. Now instead of getting bitter, we get sweeter in Jesus each day. When we let His love control us, we find that our "prison" is no longer a prison but a great training ground for God's purposes. Psalm 34:19 9 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;

Isaiah 30:18 18 Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

Jeremiah 29:11 11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Hebrews 10:24 24 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Don’t stay imprisoned too long for God already knows your desires and your future, Make Him happy, give that energy to someone else and ask for His purpose and will in your life to be fulfilled. The most important thing I can offer to you is to trust, trust and trust, if something does not happen immediately or at all, Remember He knows best. Do not throw away your life by putting things off today that need your attention today. God bless you!

Weather

I woke up today feeling under the weather, you know when all your teeth hurt and you cannot breathe. Yeah that is I today. I was very stuffy and nauseous; however, I had to work, of course I did not feel like it, it was pouring down the rain, dark, just very dreary. My mind went crazy, thinking about the weather and what the Lord says about it. As I got home from work, I went to His word and started researching scriptures concerning weather. There are many so I will just give you a few. Is there a reason behind all the storms and earthquakes and disasters? From what I found, there is.

Psalm 78:47" He destroyed ...their sycamore trees with frost..."
Job 37:6 "For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth..."
Job 37:3 "He directed ... his lightning unto the ends of the earth."
Psalm 18:12-14 "... he shot out lightning’s, and discomfited them."
Psalm 78:47-48 " He destroyed their ...flocks to hot thunderbolts."
Psalm 97:4 "His lightning’s enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled."
Jeremiah 10:13 "...he causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightning’s ..."
Genesis 8:1-2 "... and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged ... and the rain from heaven was restrained."
Exodus 10:12-13 "... and the Lord brought an east wind ... [and] the east wind brought the locusts."
Exodus 10:19 "And the Lord turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts..." Genesis 6:17"And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy... "
Leviticus 26:4 (cp. Deut 11:14) "Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit."
Deut. 11:17 "...the Lord's wrath be kindled against you, that there be no rain..."
Deut. 28:12 "The Lord shall ... give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand..." Psalm 105:16 "Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread."
Ezekiel 5:16-17 "When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread: So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts... and pestilence ... I the Lord have spoken it.
1 Samuel 12:17-18 "... I will call unto the Lord, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great... So Samuel called unto the Lord; and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel."
Psalm 83:15 "So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm."
Jeremiah 5:24 "Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain..."
Ezekiel 12:16 "But I will leave a few ... from the famine ... that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen ...and they shall know that I am the Lord."

As I said above, there are many scriptures, I wanted you to realize that God is in control of all things, including the weather; you ask does satan have a part in this, of course he does, but He can only do what the Lord will allow. The Lord does clear evil thru storms of all kinds; also, there are some who it is just their time to rest, until the Lord returns. I hope this gives you more perspective on how and why we have the weather that we have. “God is in control” Give Him praise, for He is worthy! The storm and weather I am battling today is from my own sins, and I ask God for deliverance from these in Jesus name. God bless each of you today.

"Backslidden"

Forsaking the Lord, going our own way, leaving our first love, forgetting God, falling away, turning aside, these are signs of backsliding. King David watched Bathsheba undress, and soon it was but a little step for him to give way to the imagination of his heart.

"Have you not brought this on yourselves by forsaking the Lord? Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you..." Jeremiah 2:17, 19).

Like a garden that must be carefully tilled and weeded (Hos 10:12; Mat 13), our spiritual lives require diligent attention (2 Tim 2:15, 21; 2 Pe 1:5-7). Neglect and laziness, as well as trampling the vines, can wreak havoc.

There are mamy reasons one backslide, sometimes obvious, some we hide. The lack of spiritual input such as reading the bible or getting into prayer. Jesus condemned the Pharisees not for what they did, but for what they failed to do. He also told his disciples that they would be judged not just according to their relationship with him, but also by their neglect of "the least of these" (Mat 25:35-45).

Paul writes. Reading romance novels, for example, might not in itself cause one to go out and sin. (It could). However, neglecting the Word of God certainly will. The "lust of the flesh," the "deceitfulness of riches," "the love of the world" – all these can entrap us and cause our downfall. However, the pride of life, and hatred toward a brother, eat away from within and are just as destructive.

"Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the Lord..." Jeremiah 2:17, 19

Backsliding often carries its own punishment (Prov 14:14; Jer 2:17, 19; Rom 13:4). And its effects often extend far beyond the experience of the offender alone. Causing a brother to stumble is a serious offense. We will be held accountable not only for our own relationship with God, but for our conduct before men as well. Our life is "an open book," Paul writes, "known and read of all men." People who do not hear what we say cannot help but observe the way we live. "Your actions speak so loudly," the saying goes, "that I can't hear a word you're saying." Therefore, we are to "love not in word, but in deed. No one who has experienced the Presence of God will ever find lasting satisfaction outside of His will. Deciding to return, however, has often proven most difficult. God often must use extreme measures to bring us back. He strives with the backslidden (2 Ki 17:15), and lovingly will use anything * sickness, misery, grief to get us to return. (Psa 107)"I will heal their backsliding; I will love them freely..." Hosea 14:4-7

"Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings..." Jeremiah 3:22

God promises to receive those who return with repentant hearts (Deut 4:29; 1 Chron 28:9; 2 Chron 7:14; 15:2; Jer 31:20; 36:3). His patience toward those who "keep on backsliding," however, is limited (Jer 15:6; Prov 24:16;). Deciding to return, however, has often proven most difficult. Recovering from a spiritually backslidden condition is hard. "The truth shall set you free," Jesus said. In attempting to bring back a fallen brother, however, we must make sure we ourselves are strong enough in the faith to stand secure: "...lest you also be tempted" (Gal 6:1). Those who have forsaken the Lord tend to bring others down (Prov 28:10; Mat 18:6; 1 Corin 15:33). Therefore, we ask to avoid those who have completely hardened their hearts through sin (Prov 28:14; Isaiah 26:3, 4; although our attitude toward them should remain one of mercy: "Count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother" (2 Thes 3:6, 15).

"Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings..." Jeremiah 3:22

Father, Please have mercy on my soul, I ask for forgiveness, guidance, and wisdom to do your work. I love you Father in Jesus Holy Name, Amen!

“Spring into Action with God”

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 (kjv)

If you spring into action for the Lord, you will see the many benefits and reap the many rewards that He has for you. What does this entail? First, it takes one to be right with God, giving your life to Him now, to serve Him. Does this mean you can’t laugh and have fun? No actually quite the opposite, see God wants you to be happy and have fun, maybe just in a different manner in which you are accustomed.

Matt 13:45,46 "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls, who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it." Matthew 13:44-45 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden in a field. Which a man having found, hid it, and for joy thereof goeth, and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Heb 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

Have you ever seen anything that you would sale all you had to have just this one item. I know on the materialistic front I haven’t. I would give it all for the Lord, to know that He is pleased with me and has a mansion for me in a land of immortality and free from fighting, arguing, sickness, and pain.

This is one of the parables of Jesus that will make you think, just how gracious our Jesus is.The man wanted the pearl; he had to give all he had to get it. He did not realize that meant, his car, his home, his family, the clothes on his back, everything. However, he was willing to do this because he wanted to have the pearl to put in his storefront, when he was reminded no I get the storefront, you said you would give everything. The person gave it all for that one pearl. But, just as he was leaving Jesus said Now," the man started, "you've given everything to me in exchange for that pearl, right?" "Yes, that's right." "Okay, the Lord responded, I'd like you to do something for me." "What's that," the broken former jeweler responded. "This car that you gave me," he started, "I want you to remember that it's mine now, but you take it with you. I want you to take care of it, and use it. However, most importantly, I want you to use it for me. You know what I'd want done with it, just do that for me." "Well, gee, thanks," the jeweler, responded, cheerfully. "That's not all," the Lord, said, "this house and family that you gave me. Now, they are mine, and I take responsibility for them. But, do you think you could be my steward, live there, and watch over them for me?" "Sure,” the jeweler responded, "I've been doing that anyway." "Yes, you have, but there's a difference now. Since they are mine, I expect you to act towards them as I would. Treat your family as I would. Use your house like I would, especially to help the poor, the orphaned, the widows, and the needy." "Gosh, I'm not sure I know how to do that," said the jeweler. "You'll know when the time comes," explained the Lord. "I'll send my Holy Spirit to tell you what I'd do, and here, take this too, it's a copy of my Word. As you read it, you can learn about me, and how I take care of my family." Then the Lord continued. "While we're at it, I want you to manage my jewelry business for me too. That way, you will have the money you need to take care of my home, car, and family. I only want the tithe, which is ten percent of the profits. You can find out how I want it run by looking in my Word, too. Oh, and one last thing, take the checkbook and wallet. You will need to watch over my money as well. Be sure to put it where I want it." By this point, the jeweler was amazed. He had given up everything to get the pearl, and now he had it all back. "Do you want me to give the pearl back?" he asked. "No," the Lord replied, "we made a deal. You can have the pearl, and enjoy it to the fullest. All I want is for you to use everything you've given me as I would." "Wow," thought the jeweler, "what a deal." "Thank you," he said, "I appreciate you giving me the pearl, and allowing me to watch over everything I've given you. I hope I can live up to your expectations. By the way, what's your name?"

The Lord replied, "I am Jesus."

The Bible is where you will find this parable and many others, and how to take care of what God has loaned to you as well. For see nothing belongs to you. God bless you!
