"Change"

When did change begin? We look at our world today and the people around us and wonder when did things start going so wrong. Everywhere we look, we find sin. The world is eat up with the riches of the world, who has the nicest home, or car. You open up the newspaper and its one devastation after another from floods, earthquakes, mine explosions, robberies, and drive by shootings. We talk about the prices of gas going up, to laundry detergent, economy slumping, to a controlled world. Just how many know when it all began and how it all will end?

Genesis 2:18-4:2; 4:25 God made a creature ‘in his own image’. This creature had a nature that was essentially creative. It could imagine, invent, and change the world, as God did in the Genesis story. The creature was itself an expression of the creative energy of God. The creature was alone, so God created a mate for it. He took a bone from the creature's rib cage and fashioned Woman - Eve. Man would never be complete again unless there was a woman beside him.

She, it seems, was even more creative (and therefore God-like?) than her mate Adam. When one of the reptiles in the Garden of Eden spoke to her, suggesting she try something new, she was intrigued. She had been given the power of choosing and of making decisions. If she did as the reptile suggested and ate the Apple, she might gain new understanding and wisdom. Unfortunately, Eve was an innocent. She had no previous experience of deceit, so she believed what she was told. She made her choice, deciding to seek knowledge of good and evil rather than be obedient to God's command.

Each day we test our own abilities and push forward without wisdom or knowledge. The quest for knowledge should always be balanced by wisdom. We, like Eve learn this the hard way. She took the apple to Adam, and he ate it without even questioning, he didn’t take time to consider what would happen. This is when the world changed, the Garden of Eden was lost, just as it continues to be lost, everyday in our world now.

God wanted perfection for us all; He created Adam from His own image, creating Eve by using a rib from Adam. He gave them a beautiful place to live, but even then, that wasn’t enough. Sound familiar to you, if it does, please take time out and seek God today, He is still giving us all we need to survive, He will never leave nor forsake you. Will all the tragedy stop? No, it won’t until the day Jesus comes back, and he will my brothers and sisters, so you have to prepare now. Below you will find some of His promises…He doesn’t go back on HIS WORD…TRUST….BELIEVE, LOVE and have FAITH.

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33‘

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah. Psalm 46:1-3,7
