"Leadership"

As I read the newspaper today, I start to think about the leaders of today, from our local government to our president down to those that lead us each day in our jobs. How are you as a leader in your home? Do you lead with authority and knowledge? Whom do you seek for answers when you are going thru difficult decisions in your life? . I would like to believe that in those that I deal with on a day-to-day basis I come across as knowledgeable yet wise in the fact that I take all things to Jesus, before making any decisions. His opinion is so important to me.
Good Moral Character "Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23). Bible's leaders, including Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Elijah, Hezekiah, Peter, and Paul all had great character. The Bible is the greatest book to read about good character, to see just how humble and sincere the leaders of that time were towards God.

Knowledge and Wisdom The Book of Proverbs is considered the book of wisdom. The book of Proverbs was written almost entirely by King Solomon. Solomon has been known through the ages as a wise man. The point that Solomon tries to drive home is that wisdom comes from knowledge and understanding. Listening is also taught in this book, and all of these work hand in hand. “A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:” (Proverbs 1:5)

• “Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.” (Proverbs 8:33)

• “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.” (Proverbs 9:9)

• “The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.” (Proverbs 18:15)

Perseverance Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. (Psalm 27:14)

He that endureth to the end shall be saved. Matthew 10:22

Never give up on anything in life that you feel is of God and worth working towards. Use what I have given to you here today, get the knowledge necessary to lead others as well as yourself, be wise and take all things to God, and listen carefully as He guides you, ask for Wisdom as Solomon did. The Lord knows your heart, be patient, for good comes to all those that wait on God with understanding. Your good character is really all you have, so make sure all that see you can see that Jesus shines in you. Please pray for all leaders that they may be of God and have the characteristics that God desires before you elect, before taking a new job, find out who you will be working with, and show love and understanding to your family and teach them the ways of the Lord so that you too are a good leader

Spiritual Joy

There are times in our lives where we feel like a budding flower that just will not bloom. Seems the minute we feel alive someone is always there to still the pollen right from our core. No one can see what the Lord has in store for us, they just see we are happy and full of joy and it angers them. Today I was so lifted up, filled with joy, been sharing the good news most of the day, when what happens. An evil spirit came and took more from me, as I was crying I wondered what it is I must do to get rid of the stinging bees that are swarming? This scripture came to mind. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6: 45(NKJV)

Joy is a fruit of the Spirit, which follows love; "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy" (Gal. 5:22), it attends faith and hope.

This is a spiritual joy - the Joy of Salvation! It is a product of heaven and cannot be stolen. This is what came to my mind. No matter how many times I get stung, no one will get the joy I have from within. Look about you and you will see misery on every hand. There is far more misery, pain and tears than we are able to describe. Broken lives, broken hearts and broken homes are in evidence in every country around this world.. Salvation is at hand!

Isaiah 12:3 "Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation."

To receive salvation one must ask for repentance, Psalm 119:155 "Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes."

Salvation can be had - by anyone - if they are willing to turn from sin. Bear in mind that salvation is a free gift which comes through Jesus Christ. No one deserves salvation. It is a gift made available by the loving kindness of the Most High. However, and this is a fact.

How, you may well ask, does a person receive the salvation of God? What does one have to do to obtain salvation? The answer to these vital questions is encapsulated in this magnificent text:

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Salvation always brings with it JOY.

Romans 15:13 "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."

Psalm 35:9 "And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord it shall rejoice in His salvation."

Easter

Easter, or Resurrection Day, as many Christians refer to the holiday, is a time when we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:4-5
And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name. (NLT)

Easter Sunday, the third day from when Jesus was buried, it was discovered that Jesus had risen from death and left the Roman guarded tomb. He had appeared to two women who came to see the tomb and saw the large rock rolled away from the entrance and to two disciples walking on the road to a small village seven miles away from Jerusalem When Jesus left them, they went back to Jerusalem to tell the other disciples how Jesus talked and ate with them. By now, the other disciples knew that Jesus' body was not in the tomb and they did not believe the story told by the women about Jesus' appearance to them. The scripture says, '...as yet they did not understand the scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead'. They locked themselves in their homes, afraid the Jews would come after them because they were disciples of Jesus.

While they were talking together, Jesus appeared to them saying, "Peace be with you" and then he opened their minds to the scripture and imparted the Holy Spirit upon them saying, "As the Father has sent me, so I send you." One of the disciples named Thomas was not there and when the other disciples told him what happened, he said, "I will never believe it without seeing and feeling the holes in his hands where they nailed him to the cross and wound in his side where the Roman spear pierced his body."

A week later when the disciples were all together, Jesus came and stood before them saying, "Peace be with you", and then he said to Thomas,”Take your finger and examine my hands. Put your hand into my side. Do not persist in your unbelief, but believe!"

Thomas said, "My Lord and my God!" Then Jesus said to him:
"You became a believer because you saw me. Blessed are they who have not seen and have believed."

Romans 6:8-11
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

Jesus loves us all, He gave His life to us on the cross, then on the third day He rose so He could go prepare a place for us after we leave this earth. Take time out of your busy schedules and acknowledge Jesus Christ every day, become a believer, so that you too will have life eternally. God bless each of you.

Covetousness

The last of the Ten Commandments—against coveting is aimed directly at the heart and mind of every human being. In prohibiting coveting, it defines not so much what we must do but how we should think. It asks us to look deep within ourselves to see what we are on the inside.

Most of us do not realize how greed is stopping our spiritual growth and how necessary it is to overcome the deadly and deceitful sin of covetousness. The tenth commandment states, “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors’ house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbors’ wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbors’” (Ex. 20:17).

Man is covetous by nature. Jesus said so. “. . . That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness” (Mark 7:20-22). The Apostle Paul adds, “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers” (Rom. 1:28-29).

I know myself I have wanted the same thing someone else has, rather it be a designer purse or the new car they have… I think most of us call it jealousy. Anyway, you look at it you are coveting. The word is clear that it is a sin to wish or want what someone else has. We have to be proud of what we have and be thankful for what the Lord has given to us. More so we have to realize that having materialistic items does not make us rich, in fact it can make you very poor if you do not have God in your life. The bible tells us that the rich will have trouble getting into heaven, have you not ever wondered why.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Ph’p. 2:5). The mind of Christ helps us to do the will of God and to resist the temptations of the flesh. Those who have God’s Spirit are the sons of God (Rom. 8:14). They are not controlled by the excessive desire to possess the goods and wealth of others (Rom. 8:4).

With God’s help, the sin of coveting can be overcome. The next time you go to buy something that you can’t afford think about this commandment and how it’s going against God’s will for your life to overspend and let the necessities in life go unpaid, just to keep up with the Jones’. I hope this gives you a better understanding of our tenth commandment covet. Please take all commandments to heart and know that disobeying one is as bad as another is.
Jesus watches over His sheep 24/7, He sees all. He loves you smuch, He forgives for this sin, just ask Him and start living your life according to HIS will.

"ARK OF THE COVENANT'

What exactly is the Ark of the Covenant? Growing up I always heard pastors talk about this, but I never knew what it was, so as I was preparing today I wondered how many others might not know what it is either. I will try to explain it now and its importance.

When God made a covenant or agreement with the people of Israel on Mount Sinai, God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and instructions to make a chest or box of acacia wood with poles in which to store the Ten Commandments written on two stone tablets. It was to be set behind the inner curtain, in the most holy place inside the sacred tent (Exodus; 40:3, 21). God would meet with the people by the sacred chest and tell them what to do (Exodus). The sacred chest was called “Ark of the Covenant” because it held the tablets of the Ten Commandments and symbolized the presence of God. The Ark of Covenant was no longer heard of after the fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of the temple in 587 B.C.

The Ark remained in the Temple until 607 B.C. when the Babylonians, led by King Nebuchadnezzar II invaded Jerusalem. The Temple of Solomon was destroyed in the attack and the Ark’s fate from that point onward remains a matter of amateur and scholarly speculation.
The Ark was nowhere to be found when the Israelites returned 70 years later to rebuild Jerusalem and it is unlikely that the Babylonians took it, as their detailed lists of looted items made no mention of the Ark. So, what happened to it?

NO ONE REALLY KNOWS WHERE THE ARK IS TODAY, OF COURSE THERE ARE MANY THEORIES ABOUT ITS LOCATION. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT ONLY GOD KNOWS? THE IMPORTANT THING FOR US TO REMEMBER IS WHAT WAS IN THE BOX, AND THAT IS THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. USE THEM IN YOUR LIFE EVERYDAY, AND IF YOU DO MESS UP AS WE ARE NONE SIN FREE, GET ON YOUR KNEES BEFORE YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER AND ASK FOR FORGIVENESS.

•“Thou shalt have no other gods before me” ( Exodus 20:3).
•“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image” ( Exodus 20:4).
•“Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain” ( Exodus 20:7).
•“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy” ( Exodus 20:8).
•“Honour thy father and thy mother” ( Exodus 20:12).
•“Thou shalt not kill” ( Exodus 20:13).
•“Thou shalt not commit adultery” ( Exodus 20:14).
•“Thou shalt not steal” ( Exodus 20:15).
•“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour” ( Exodus 20:16).
•“Thou shalt not covet” ( Exodus 20:17).

Is your vision inline with God's

God watching over us with Clear Eyes

Over the past few months I have been having headaches, eyes watering, my vision has been impaired. This makes things blurred, very hard to see. Even trying to do my daily blogs has been hard at times because the words just kind of disappear. Of course, once I put my glasses on things become so much clearer. I have become very lazy and often work without them, not realizing how I not only am risking wording things incorrectly, but more importantly, I am at risk of losing my eyesight. Unfortunately having diabetes, I have to be careful. This got me to thinking today on just how my vision is flawed.
Jesus is at a dinner party at the home of Simon the Pharisee, and to the shock of all the guests, a local prostitute named Mary Magdalene crashed the party. Jesus and the Pharisee looked at the same person, but they were not seeing the same thing. The Pharisee looked at Mary Magdalene through the lens of judgment and saw only a sinner who was unclean. Jesus looked at Mary through the lens of compassion, and saw someone who had been stuck in her sins but had something better inside her. That was what motivated Him to treat her with kindness and acceptance. Unlike the Pharisee, He did not base His actions on whether Mary was “worthy” or not; He looked at her as someone who was suffering because of her sins, and His reaction was compassion and forgiveness.
We know from the rest of Mary Magdalene’s story, the compassion and acceptance Jesus offered her enabled Mary to leave her sins behind and become the person of faith and goodness that Jesus saw. She became part of the inner circle of Jesus’ followers, and was the first person to spread the Good News of His Resurrection. Compassion changes people; it changes them from being objects of “charity” to being persons of dignity and value who are loved by God. That enables them to change how they see things.

If your physical lens is flawed, you go to an eye doctor so your vision can be corrected. However, if your spiritual lens is flawed, you need to go to the Great Physician Himself. All of us need to let Jesus correct our flawed vision so that we can see the world and other people the way He did. Only then will we be able to treat others the way He did, and out of the same motivations He had. Ask Jesus for a clearer vision, so that you too can become a better person with better sight. Remember He is watching over you at all times.

Jesus and His Children

Mark 10:13-16 —
“People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.”

And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.
(Matthew 18:2-6 ESV)

Children are a gift from God; they are so humble, for they do not know sin yet. Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
(Psalms 127:3-5 ESV)

(Genesis 33:5 ESV)
And when Esau lifted up his eyes and saw the women and children, he said, “Who are these with you?” Jacob said, “The children whom God has graciously given your servant.”

Jesus is the special Friend of children. He once told His disciples that the angels of little ones are always very close to God in heaven. Children are so trusting; they are very, very special to God. He thinks of every child as a special treasure. Jesus asks that you teach your children, no matter what age about Him. For small children understand what He means when He says come to me. Pray over your children daily, give them to Jesus to watch over, never ever forget they are on loan to you, they really belong to Him. Learn from your children, listen when they talk…surround them with Christians that believe and trust in God. Read bible stories to them, they absorb like a sponge. Most importantly let them know what Jesus gave up for us. Always let them know that they are loved by you and their Heavenly Father. God bless you all.

“ In Flight with God”

"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31)

Exodus 19:4
Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

Deuteronomy 28:49
The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;

The last few nights I have had a vision of an Eagle landing on my shoulder and then flying off to help someone, including a dying man that has been left for dead. The eagle returns to me to let me know things are good. I was scared when a voice told me in the beginning that an eagle would be landing on my shoulder, but as soon as I realized it was already there I was at peace. I ask God for direction in my life and each day I do feel like I am on a flight of no return, I feel so good knowing that I am on flight for my Father in Heaven. I love you Jesus.

I decided I wanted to know more about the eagle, this is what I found out:

The eagles wings are spread straight out and they are literally soaring with perfect ease on the wind currents. Eagles are born with big and heavy wings, and part of the survival mechanism they are born with is that they have to learn how to fly without actually flapping their big wings. They have to learn how to do this in order to conserve energy. Eagles can literally die if they expend too much energy flapping their wings during flight as versus soaring without flapping their wings.

As a result, what eagles have to learn to do very early on in order to be able to soar without flapping their wings, is to wait for what are called wind thermals to come up on them. A wind thermal is a big gust of wind that will rise up from the atmosphere. Sometimes eagles will remain perched for days before they can catch a good, strong wind thermal, where they can then launch onto and combine a mixture of flying and soaring on that strong wind thermal to get them to where they want to go.

This is all pretty astonishing in itself, but read this carefully: 1. Eagles Are Master Fliers, 2. Eagles Are Master Fisherman, 3. Eagles Fly Alone, 4. Eagles Live on Higher Ground, 5. Eagles Are Extremely Bold, Courageous and Powerful, 6. Eagles Are Considered Majestic, 7. Eagles Are Faithful For Life, 8. Eagles Are Very Patient, 9. The Eagle Has 2 Sets of Eye, 10. The Nests of Eagles Are Built in the Wilderness, 11. Eagles Have Contrasting Color Patterns - Noticeable From a Distance.

In so many ways we are like the eagle, we too have to learn to soar and fly, spread our wings. The wings are like our faith and belief, and the wind thermals are like the Holy Spirit within us. The anointing of God is the presence and power of the Holy Spirit flowing and through us to accomplish what God wants us to for Him in this life. It is God's power flowing through us, not our power. Our power is weak and limited, but God's power is pure and absolute. Let God use you today, walk in faith and trust that He will anoint you and watch as you learn to fly like the eagle. God bless each and everyone of you, God is the Mighty I AM!

“Through My Fathers Eyes”

I have a friend that I have known for years who has two children, a daughter and a son. He is always bragging on how good their grades are, how they are so smart. How his daughter is growing up to be such a beautiful young woman and how his son is the most handsome person. He and his wife are just so proud of their children. You know you picture in your mind wow they must be so awesome and beautiful because their father has talked about them non-stop. While having a conversation one day I heard a child in the background, I couldn’t really understand exactly what the child was saying so I ask my friend, he said oh that’s (for privacy reason we shall call him Ronnie) Ronnie, he wants to know what’s for dinner, I just said oh ok. It’s ok he says to me Ronnie has autism. As we talked and I ask more and more about the kids, never once did my friend try to sugarcoat the situation, it was always about how beautiful his kids were. This made me realize if only I could see through this fathers eyes, would I ever be so quick to judge others or stare anymore?

This made me think so very much of how a Father’s love actually is, how they hold their children, admiring and smothering them with hugs and tender kisses. This made me think about my heavenly Father, and how He brought each of us into this world, how He molded each of us. I can imagine Him holding each of us in His loving arms and nurturing us. I thought if only I could see like He sees me and how He sees others, maybe I could be so much more loving and understanding of what someone else might be going through.

“He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice…I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.“ (John 10:3-4, 11)

“My sheep hear my voice, I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is greater than all else, and no one can snatch it out of the Father’s hand.” (John 10:27-29)

The next time you look at someone try to see him or her through a Fathers eye, and then take a second to realize just how Jesus sees you. You are His child, let Him cuddle you and hold you in His arms always. To Him we are all so beautiful for He molded us in His own image.

Father, please forgive me for all the times I have looked at someone and just stared, I ask now Father that you allow me to see them through your eyes, and to show mercy and kindness towards all. Bless my friends Father as they continue watching their children grow and become even more beautiful. We thank you in Jesus name. Amen

Chilvalry

There are many verses in the Bible that show you the type of love and respect we should show each other. The best example of chivalry in the Bible is Jesus, He not only treated everyone He met with respect, but he also put our needs above His own.

Ephesians 4:29; Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Ephesians 5:3-4 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

I Peter 4:10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.

1. Do and say only those things, which build up – never tear down
2. Treat those you are with, as you want them to treat you
3. Show proper respect to authority, elders, and guests
4. A chivalrous person pursues purity in word and deed
5. Gentlemen always take the lead in being chivalrous
6. “Please” and “Thank You” are never used enough
7. A chivalrous person is always looking to serve
8. A chivalrous woman is never immodest in her dress or coarse in her talk
9. A gentlemen always protects, presents, and defends
10. Above all, chivalry displays a respect and love for others that never stops growing.

The spirituality of Chivalry calls us, as individuals, to relate with truth in an honest and forthcoming way, not as passive followers, but as active seekers. It calls us to think and feel with consciousness of the moment, seeing through illusions that otherwise blind or deceive us. Be as Jesus was, treat others with respect and understanding, try to relate to what others might be going thru, give understanding and care.

Don’t hesitate to do well unto others, Jesus didn’t…

"I Am, That I Am,"
"Be still, and know that I am God."

The Ten Lamps

Matthew 25:1-13

It will be very important to be ready when the end of the world comes. To show His disciples this, Jesus told them a story. "There once were ten bridesmaids. They were supposed to be ready to welcome the bridegroom. They were part of a wedding party."Five of these girls were careless and five were wise. All ten girls were supposed to wait along the roadside for the bridegroom to come home. When the bridegroom passed by, they would light his way with the lamps they held.

"The five foolish girls should have known they would need extra oil/—they had brought only enough/oil to fill their lamps once. Each of the wise girls, however, had brought plenty of extra oil.

"They waited and waited all evening, but the bridegroom did not come. They all fell asleep because it was so late. Suddenly there was a shout, 'The bridegroom is coming! Light, your lamps!'

"The wise bridesmaids lit their lamps. However, the foolish girls had used up all their oil a long time ago.

“‘Can we borrow some of your oil? ‘They asked the wise girls.

"They just shook their heads. No, there would not be enough for all of us. Go and see if you can buy some from the shop.' The other girls ran as

Fast as they could to buy some more oil. But while they were gone, the bridegroom arrived.

"Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast. The door was locked. When the other girls came back from the shop, they were too late.

“‘Open the door,' they called out. ‘Bridegroom, let us in, please.'

"But the bridegroom said, 'I don't

Know you. Go away.' Let this be a lesson then," Jesus said to His disciples.

He was teaching them that someday time would run out. No one could afford to say, "I'll change tomorrow."Time is not the sort of thing you can borrow from other people. If you wait too long to do something, then it is too late. Now is the time to make the choice for or against Jesus. Do not wait until tomorrow.

He Loves You

“Do You Love Me”

I sit in a small ball today, filled with tears, wondering why I feel so unloved. Why does everyone leave me out, or not need me or want me even. Friends seem to come and go, seems the minute you get sick, they do not want to hear about it, they want you only when you are happy and can do for them. However, do not let them get sick and you are not there for them. Isn’t it amazing how someone can love you so much and love being with you, but cant…all I can say is I am so glad I have Jesus in my life, He loves me all the time, especially when I am down, sad, sick, depressed, for this is when He wants to make me smile again. I remember the story in the bible about Peter and Jesus asking him do you love me. Peter was so upset when Jesus kept asking him, three times in fact. Peter felt sad when Jesus asked him; He could still remember that terrible night when Jesus was arrested. Three was the number of times Peter had told others that he knew nothing about Jesus. He sighed. "Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you." Jesus loved all the disciples just as He loves each of us. He will always pick you up when you are down, so while others are deciding if they can allow you to be in their life, never forget how valuable you are to your Heavenly Father, He loves you at all times. The next time you have a day like I have, take a minute to realize that we here on earth are humans, we don’t take time out of our day to realize just how we hurt others, but our Father hears our cries and always has a open arm for you. Let Him in, He loves you!

Are you battling a storm?

Have you ever felt like you are going thru the storm of your life? It seems everything is going wrong, you are late to work, you do not feel well, you just spilled coffee all over your new white blouse, and now your boss is going to be a real jerk. A storm in your life may last a day, week, and or a month, but how you cope with it will tell a lot about you. The bible tells us about a storm that Mark went through; let us look at it together:

Jesus himself suggested sea at night; however, they did not go out to sea until they had sent away the multitude once they had met all their needs. They took Jesus without any extra clothing to keep them warm. The storm was so great that the ship became full of water. Many smaller ships were at sea with them as well, maybe holding those were afraid to go with Jesus in the larger boat.

Jesus was asleep during the storm in the hinder part of the ship, the disciples encouraged themselves for they felt they would be safe because they had Jesus with them. After a while, however they did get scared and did not understand how Jesus could be sleeping thru this storm. Finally, the disciples became afraid and woke up Jesus, saying Master, carest thou not that we perish?

• Jesus commanded the storm, ”Peace, be still” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm” (v. 39), he meant that Jesus told the sea to be silent, be hushed, and be muzzled like a wild beast. The storm ended at the command of Jesus.

• A word of comfort, No matter what storm or battle you are facing Jesus can stop it with just a word.

Take time to ask Jesus into your life, tell him about the storms that are raging in your life and ask for His divine intervene with your storm... God bless you!

God's Will or Ours

Life sometimes takes us in directions that confuse us and we do not know if what we are feeling is from God or if it is of our own wants and desires. I find myself asking God daily to lead me to do His will, to help me find the right road and strength to forgive those that are consistently on my case. Sometimes I just want to give up, but I know that taking that road is the low road and will lead to total devastation. I hope that you will ask God for His purpose and will for your life as I am and follow the simple scripture below to understand. God bless you!

Proverbs 3:1-8

If you want God to lead you in life, put Him first in everything

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

"He will make your paths straight"—the message will be obvious to you, and God will remove the obstacles that would keep you from following His will for you. It sounds wonderful, doesn't it? But why are we not experiencing it every day?

Trust in the Lord. When you feel Him leading, you and you do not know where you will end up or how you will get through, Trust Him anyway. Act on the idea that God is there. If He leads you, you can trust Him.

Do not lean on your own understanding. Recognize that you desperately need God's hand in your life, both guiding you and enabling you. Never trust yourself with your life…

In all your ways, acknowledge Him. Make sure that your life shows that God is the one you honor, love and obey.

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to Him, and will dine with him, and he with Me." - Revelation 3:20

Doing good for others

Are you taking time out to help others? Sometimes that just means picking up the phone to see if someone is ok, if there is anything you can do to help them, or just have prayer with them. If only we could love our neighbors as we love our families, The Lord ask that we love our neighbors...why aren't you?

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Hebrews 13:16

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

Our Lord gives us the following biblical principle in regard to our helping others, “But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men” (Luke 6:35) .

in Paul’s letter to the Galatian brethren (Gal. 6:9-10), Paul he states, “And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” A companion scripture to the above passage would be Proverbs 3:27: “Withold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.” We are not to refuse exhibiting mercy and kindness to others when it is in our power to do it. The extent of God’s mercy and kindness toward us will be dependent upon our extending mercy and kindness toward others (James 2:13; cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:15).

These are just a few of the times the Bible talks about helping others. Take time out today to call a friend, let them know you care about them. Then take a minute and reach out to a stranger or someone you barely know and let them know Jesus loves them. God has done so much for you, what have you done for Him? Take time today to talk to God thru His son Jesus Christ, if it’s just to say thank you or please forgive me of my sins, He two wants our attention. Don’t go thru your day alone, He is with you always, show Him how much you love Him.

Lord bless all those that read this today and lead them to do better and teach them how to be a better neighbor. Please forgive them all their sins and I ask for you divine healing on their lives. Thank you for being my roommate, my neighbor, my best friend, I love you Father in Jesus Holy Name. Amen!

What is Death

What does the Bible say about death?

Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

1 Corinthians 15:54-57
Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

In essence, the moment we die, our spirit and soul go to be with the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:8
Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.

Philippians 1:22-23
But if I live, I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don’t know which is better. I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me.

Believers will dwell with God forever.

Psalm 23:6
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Jesus prepares a special place for believers in heaven.

John 14:1-3
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

Death is an eternal life, if you know Jesus, our Lord and Savior!

Happy Birthday Mom"

“Protect My Mom Dear God”

I always think about you,
In times both good and bad,
For the things you taught are with me,
In happy times and sad
Knowing you are there puts a smile within my heart
I feel so blessed to have you as my mom

Whenever I need you,
to cheer me up, make me smile,
bolster my confidence, and ease my worries
you fill up my empty, hurting places
with your boundless affection.
Your loving presence in my life
gives me a reassuring feeling
of security and peace.

Please, Lord, protect my mother,
And keep her safe from harm,
For she is a cherished person,
With great wisdom, love and charm.
Lord, it’s my mother’s birthday
so please; help her to see
how much she means to me.

Your loving daughter
Brenda

Rediscovery of Christ

To have purpose in life you have to be driven to live a life for Christ. What are you willing to do to get to that place? Too often in life we look at things negatively and get surrounded by things that make it impossible to lift our heads rather lone our hearts. My purpose here in life is to walk a daily walk with Jesus and find solutions to my own problems as well as help others with their walk. When was the last time you wept for Christ for all that He does for you, and how will you rediscover Christ?

Honestly describe yourself. How do you really define who you are?
I like to believe I define myself by what others see in me. When I see me I see a fat person who is angry inside and lonely.
• What aspects of yourself do you dislike?
I dislike how I allow myself to get down and how I allow others to walk on me. I hate how I feel about physical self.

• Evaluate your answers to the questions above. To what extent are you dependent on external attributes or roles—such as appearance, education, skills, family relationships, and occupation—to describe yourself?
I know these bad qualities I feel about myself are keeping me from getting closer to Christ, and holding me back from doing the Lords work.

Now look at how Jesus described Himself
How did Jesus describe Himself (John 14:9-10)? Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? 10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

At the Last Supper, our Lord humbled Himself and washed the disciples’ feet. To what does John attribute Christ’s action (John 13:1-8)? 1It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love. 2The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already prompted Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, to betray Jesus. 3Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, "Lord, are you going to wash my feet?" 7Jesus replied, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand." 8"No," said Peter, "you shall never wash my feet;” Jesus answered, "Unless I wash you, you have no part with me."

Know the truth about who you are in Christ. Know that you are a child of Christ, A friend of Jesus, and most importantly you are accepted by Christ. You decide if you will be a citizen of Heaven, He opened the door when He died on the Cross for you. All your sins have been forgiven, so know you too can start from fresh.

I now, feel like the Lord is ashamed of me for allowing myself to get into this predicament and for losing faith in letting him mold me into what He wants for me. So from this moment on, I am turning my soul, body and spirit over to Christ for a new beginning, a new growth and I ask for His wisdom. I ask that my Father give me the strength and courage to move forward and to let go of the things that caused me to feel the way I do inside. Father, please forgive all my sins and help me walk daily with you and help me to do what you have called me to do. I thank you for all these things in Jesus name, Amen.

Father please allow me to wash your feet for I am not worthy to have you wash mine, however Jesus I want to be a big part with you. I love you Jesus!

Take a minute and answer the above questions truthfully for yourself, then give them to God and let them go. He molded each of us, He created us in His own image. When I reread what I said I cried, but I wanted to be honest with all my readers, so that you know I too struggle, but I have the Lord to hold me in His arms and He allows me to cry.

Choosing your friends wisely

You don't have to change the world, just show one person you care, every day. Choose who will be in your life; ask for Gods advice when choosing a friend.

Who is the person who helped you out, shared of themselves, or just listened? For me that was Auntie, She inspired me to love the Lord and to trust in Him, she inspired me to write.

The Bible tells us to choose our friends very carefully in this life. He who walks with wise people will become wise himself, but that he who keeps company with fools will he himself be destroyed. The Bible tells us that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers that we are to stay away from people who can use divisions and offenses, and to withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly. "The righteous should CHOOSE HIS FRIENDS CAREFULLY, for the way of the wicked leads them astray." (Proverbs 12:26)

Notice this verse is specifically telling us that if we do not choose our friends very carefully in this life, that we could end up choosing the wrong type of people to become friends with and they can then end up leading us astray from God and with what He wants to do with our lives. Many of God's people have lost their calls in Him because they chose to hang out with the wrong type of people or the wrong crowd.

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temples of the living God." (2 Corinthians 6:14)
"He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed." (Proverbs 13:20)
"A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it, but knowledge is easy to him who understands. Go from the presence of a foolish man, when you do not perceive in him the lips of knowledge." (Proverbs 14:6)
"Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers ..." (Philippians 3:2)
"But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us." (2 Thessalonians 3:6)
"Now I urge you, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you have learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple." (Romans 16:17)
"Do not be deceived: "Evil Company corrupts good habits." Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God." (1 Corinthians 15:33)

Once you turn the reigns of your life over to God for Him to fully handle, He will now make sure that you get matched up with the right kind of people that you can become true God-friends with.

"Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." (Proverbs 11:14)
A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength; for by wise counsel you will wage your own war, and in a multitude of counselors there is safety." (Proverbs 24:5)
"Every purpose is established by counsel; by wise counsel wage war."
(Proverbs 20:18)
"Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established."(Proverbs 15:22)
"Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter days." (Proverbs 19:0)
"Cease listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge." (Proverbs 19:27)

I challenge you to take the high road, and purpose to make your life, every contact not matter how big or small, count for something. I challenge you to look at the friends you have in your life, are they friends who will walk with you towards Heaven or lead you astray?

"The Universe"

As the day wore today I have felt empty inside, lost out in space, not sure what direction the Lord has for me, for I feel like I have fallen off the narrow path I was on. I received an email today on the universe and I wondered what holds the earth up, I ask God for answers and was amazed at where I was led…

A very interesting verse to consider is Job 26:7, which states that God “hangs the earth on nothing.”
(KJV) 7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. 8 He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them. 9 He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it. 10 He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. 11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof. 12 He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud. 13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. 14 Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

How do you even look at this, the earth is the shape of a circle floating out there in God’s space, not attached to anything, but see I don’t see it that way, I can close my eyes and imagine God’s large hand holding this round ball in the palm of His hand, this ball being us. He is always holding us and keeping us safe, this scripture shows us just how much.

Isaiah 40:22 22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers,
Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

In this verse I see where Christ has made the earth larger over the years to hold the many people, because He loves us so much, but do any of us know when this expansion may end, and He calls us home? The answer is NO, only God knows when this will happen, and what we have to do is make sure we are ready …I know what I have to do now to get ready, and I know what I have to change in order to serve my Precious Father.

Psalm 19 1 The aheavens declare the glory of God; And the bfirmament 1shows 2His handiwork
I give my Heavenly Father all the Praise and Glory for creating a beautiful universe for us to live in during this time here on earth, and I thank Him for going and preparing a new home for us to come to when our time here on earth is over. In Jesus Holy name Amen!

“Time to Love is short, Will you let it Go”

Today I have dealt with physical and mental pain, and heartache like no other. To get thru this I must let go and remember that God will remain and keep me company until others see that they are needed and come back.
To let go does not mean to stop caring,
it means I can't do it for someone else.
To let go is not to cut myself off,
it's the realization I can't control another.
To let go is not to enable,
but allow learning from natural consequences.
To let go is not to try to change or blame another,
it's to make the most of myself.
To let go is not to care for,
but to care about.
To let go is not to fix,
but to be supportive
To let go is to admit powerlessness, which means
the outcome is not in my hands.
To let go is not to be protective,
it's to allow another to face reality.
To let go is not to nag, scold or argue,
but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.
To let go is not to regret the past,
but to grow and live for the future.
To let go and to let God,
is real love !

Reach out for God , He will never ever let you down, and He will never leave you, for He is real love…Praise Him daily, give Him all the thanks!

Plan of Action

Are you making plans to live a life for Jesus? Are you trying to skip some of the essential steps necessary to live a life Where Jesus is the Head of your household?

This is where I would start;

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Hebrew 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee

When David arrived God said "Rise and anoint him; he is the one." Samuel anointed David with oil. Then the Spirit of the Lord came on David in power. The new king had been chosen! But he wasn't the new king, yet. God had more plans to be worked out first.
Since King Saul had this evil spirit bugging him, his advisors told him to get a harp player in the house. They thought the music would calm Saul down. They ended up getting this kid named David (Yep. The same one!) to play the harp. Well, David had the Spirit of God in him, so when he would hang around Saul the evil spirit would run away like crazy. King Saul felt better with David around. He liked him so much that he gave him a promotion to armor bearer.
That put David to be in the position that he was in when Goliath was giving the Israelites a hard time. If he had not been an armor bearer for the king, Saul might never have let him knock out old Goliath. David might never have been king. He wouldn't have been the great forefather of our Lord, Jesus!

God has a plan for you. Are you taking action?
Are you reading your Bible to prepare your spiritual and moral life? Are you talking to God every day so that you will know what his plan is for you? Are you studying hard in school so that you'll be prepared for any job he has for you? David did!

Go before God thru His Son Jesus Christ and ask first for deliverance of all your sins, then leave them behind..Ask for wisdom on how to live a life with love, harmony and peace thru Christ. Get the tools necessary, a Bible, study Bible as well if you can, read books on how to pray, keep it simple, God wants your heart not words. I ask Jesus to watch over you today as you start this new journey. Trust and believe for He will never forsake you...He gave His only Son on that cross so that we could have eternal life. Thank him for that. God bless each of you.

"In His Eyes, Who are you?

Get to know yourself
Did you ever wonder who you took after, or who you most look like in your family? Well I have many times over. I look in the mirror I can see my dad for a split second, I might say something that sounds just like something my mom has said before, but I like to believe I am more like Jesus. ..At least this is what I desire for my own life, to be complete I want others to see Christ in me. I love knowing others are happy, to know I put a smile on someone’s face, oh and the feeling I get inside when I get the opportunity to tell someone about Christ. That is when I am at my best, when I am out there spreading His gospel. I can only imagine how Jesus felt to know He was doing His walk here on earth for His Heavenly Father, I know He was scared, and we know He too cried to God, He begged for our mercy, time after time. He saved, He healed, and He led, but most importantly He struggled just as you and me, and He like us received no favoritism in what He was doing for us. Even stretched out on the cross, He didn’t beg or cry, He took it like a man, because He was doing as His father had wished. Are we worth it, no, absolutely, positively no, but to Jesus we are, so much so that He was willing to die for us.

You ask how to do you know you are more like Jesus? First, God made us in His own image, so how can you not be as handsome/beautiful as He is. He gives us a spirit liken to His so that we can do right over wrong. Become like unto me", says our Lord Jesus Christ. Be Holy as I am Holy. (Leviticus 11:44) See right here He tells us to become like unto Him…If we look at Jesus we also look at God the Father (John 14:8). If we look at an image of Jesus we can feel something very extraordinary about Him, and we may ponder what it would be like, to be with the God man and to become like Him.

If we want to become like Jesus Christ Our Lord, we must desire to possess all his human qualities, plus all his divine attributes which are unique to God. They must be reflected upon our souls in order that we may become what God wants us to be: "his own reflection". While this sounds very desirable but difficult, we need to do our work by amending our lives and by practicing living in the Presence of God. We can start by saying like Jesus, the flesh is weak but the Spirit God has given us is strong.

We must come humbly before Him with a repentant heart and with a desire to become like Jesus Christ. Then He can save our souls, make us his instruments and prepare us to do his work. This is what I ask today, for deliverance of my sins, and for a heart that is after God and only God, I want to feel His presence in my entire life, I want Him to bring me closer and let others see what He has done for me in my face and in every facet of my life.

Have you confessed your sins, are you likened to Jesus? If not please bow before Him this day and get release from the bound up pain that lies within, He is there waiting with open arms, expect to receive and Trust that He will give. Jesus loves you my friend, so much that we are made from His own image, an so much more that He chose to die for us on that rugged cross so that we could be forgiven our sins, so please reach out to Him today..May others see Christ in you in days to come, God bless you.

Christ's Spirit

ISAIAH 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Isaiah 55:6Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.

Hosea 5:15 I will go away and return to My place Until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.

Today I had one of those days of pain, dread, and anxiousness. It was a day where I had to reflect on past works and see where my future is taking me. I felt as I could do nothing right, a sense of being alone in a big world and nowhere to turn. I went to seek Jesus for some peace, I found that not only do I need the body of Christ, but the body of Christ needs me. He has given me spiritual gifts to use, but this too confuses me, so once again I go to His word, the Bible. 1 Corinthians 12:7-11
A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church. To one person the spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another he gives the gift of special knowledge. The spirit gives special faith to another, and to someone else he gives the power to heal the sick. He gives one person the ability to prophesy, He gives someone else the ability to know whether it is really the spirit of God or another spirit that is speaking; still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, and another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one and only Holy Spirit who distributes these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.

God creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the word he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing. Ephesians 2:10

God knows that none of us are immune to temptation. God knows this, so he has assigned us as individuals the responsibility of keeping each other on track. His word says “Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. Hebrews 3:13

After reading these scriptures I realized I needed to talk to one of my Christian friends so that I could stomp all over these negative feelings I was having from within. I needed to know that God hadn’t turned His back on me, that I was the one who called today off because I was having a pity party. See folks the Christian life is more than just commitment to Christ, it includes being a committed Christian to your friends. So today my friend was there for me, and I Pray I will be there for them when they need a stern hand. So take time today and see if you are strong enough to not only ask for Christ help but realize that Christ needs you as well.

God bless you my Christians friends and family.

Virtue

Virtue in Christ

I must be poor and want, before I can exercise the virtue of gratitude; miserable and in torment, before I can exercise the virtue of patience.

The apostle Peter commanded that we add to our faith, virtue. But, also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge (2Peter 1:5)

As a Christian you must have a virtuous character. Virtue Begins with Becoming a Christian

Moral excellence begins with diligent faith (2 Pet. 1:5). Since faith demands hearing and obeying God's word (Rom. 10:17; Heb. 11:1), the first step toward moral excellence is obedience to God in repentance from sin, confession of Christ, and baptism into Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; 8:37-38; Rom. 6:3).

At the time we repent, we turn away from sin to obediently serve God. Therefore, we are baptized making our appeal to God for a good conscience (1 Pet. 3:21). With a good conscience, we begin a morally excellent life. Unbelievers, on the other hand, are not morally excellent since they do not believe and have not appealed to God for a good conscience.

In God’s word you will find what God’s standards is to be a virtuous Christian.

Virtue is moral excellence. God is absolute virtue (excellence, 2 Pet. 1:3). Since God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Pet. 1:3), He has given us the standard for moral excellence in His word (2 Tim. 3:16-17). It all falls back on us to get into God’s word so that we can learn, get wisdom, and knowledge to be able to lead the lost sheep back to Christ. Without virtue you cannot feel the emptiness that is within you. We cannot live by the world's standard and expect to go to heaven (Is. 55:8-9). When we live according to the law and doctrine of Christ, we are virtuous (Gal. 6:2; Col. 3:17; 2 Jn. 1:9). As we grow spiritually, we grow in: faith, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love, therefore, we become increasingly virtuous. 2 Peter 1:5&7

As a Christian you will never be able to escape all the different influences of sin, but you must work hard to keep sin away, watch who you are interacting with, do not allow yourself to sin in your mind, for sin is not a virtue of Christ. Absolute virtue is possessed by God (2 Pet. 1:3). 3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to. As God's children, we strive to imitate Him each and every day ( Matt. 5:48) 48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Where do you stand?

Will you eternally live in the midst of virtue while worshiping before God's throne? Or, will you only get a glimpse of God's virtue as you stand condemned before the judgment seat of Christ (2 Cor. 5:10)? 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it is good or bad.

God bless you my family and friends, May you find virtue in God’s word and an eternal life thru doing so. Amen!

"God chooses me"

“Why God Chooses Me”

I have often been confused when God shows me things and gives me things that I need to tell a particular person. Why does He choose to show me things, and use me? Why does He choose to trust me with His work? I can’t explain this, but surely God can, read ahead what I found God has to say:

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts -Isaiah 55:9, ESV

I would describe God’s using us to accomplish His purposes as an act of love on His part toward us. He could do it without us, but then we wouldn’t be privileged to enjoy seeing God accomplish His purposes through us. Today, I was sharing with a dear friend, when God showed me a child who was hurting, pulling at the curtails of a woman, and all the woman sees is a little once craving attention, but my heart aches for I see a pain within this child that stems from a sickness. All I can do is telling my friend that he must carry this news to the lady for he knows her. So now, if he follows this word, the child will be healed, but if not, we have a baby that will be suffering for he can’t tell the adult what he needs. This is one of the hardest things for me, knowing it’s out of my realm of control, and also knowing God trusted me to give the message, I ask why me? “Because I love you, saith God”, and this is enough for me. During this same conversation I see a young man who is willing to follow Jesus, but he don’t have the tools necessary or the voice, but once again my friend can help him, so I ask him to reach out to this young man. My friend is following his path with Jesus himself, and struggling each day to get past the earthly pain and loneliness that he is feeling within, even though he knows he has been called to be a prophet. He like us wants to do the Lord’s work but some days are just harder than others. What we have to look at is, it wasn’ easy for the first 12 disciples either, they gave up everything, but they were willing to leave everything behind to do so. Are we? God will use us to accomplish his goals here on earth, for it gives Him great pleasure to watch us love him. “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ”: Ephesians 4:12.

Remember that God uses all people; He even works thru those that are against him, as He did with Jacob, His first 130 years were anything but good, but when he was brought to the ruler of Egypt, God was able to use him to achieve His goals. God achieved His purposes through Jacob because of who God is, not because Jacob was an incredible man of righteousness.

May God achieve His purposes through you, with your full cooperation and devotion, not in spite of your weakness and poor character? Will you allow Jesus into your life, so that today He can use you for His will as He did Jacob?

As I pray today, I ask God to use me for His will, to spread His good news and to show others the love He has for them. I ask for divine protection on those who He has chosen to do a work for Him and give understanding and most importantly wisdom to know right from wrong, when to speak and when not to. I ask today for God to be with my brother in Christ as he goes thru difficult days ahead as He has to let more and more go, but also Lord I ask that you protect him and give him rest as his heart is heavy precious Father. For all that try to stay on the right path Lord give them safety, and assurance. Father please watch over and help me as I make decisions in the days to come, help me to stay away from harm’s way. I ask for health today for myself as well as all those that are reading this and for my friends that are unable to. I thank you for it all in Jesus Holy name. Amen!

Worth repeating…For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts -Isaiah 55:9, ESV

"Faces of Christ"

“The four faces of Christ”

There is always the problem of men who, because of circumstances, will not believe in God, who refuse to put their faith and trust in a God who has revealed himself to them over and over again and should have been perfectly adequate and perfectly trustworthy and perfectly faithful.

Anyone who wants to think smart about life must always begin with God. That is where the Bible begins. "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. If your heart needs to be set on fire by the revelation of the character and glory of God, read Ezekiel. He is the great prophet who saw the glory of God. Ezekiel the prophet was able to see the Glory of God more than any of the other prophets because of his vision of God. The book opens dramatically with the vision that Ezekiel saw by the River Chebar in the land of Babylon:

As I looked, behold, a stormy wind came out of the north, and a great cloud, with brightness round about it, and fire flashing forth continually, and in the midst of the fire, as it were gleaming bronze. (Ez. 1:4)

A site that definitely would get anyone’s attention, Ezekiel’s story always amazes me, so I want to share just a little with you, so that you too will have all the faith and trust in God that is needed to get thru this realm of life here on earth.

And from the midst of it came the likeness of four living creatures... (Ez. 1:5)

And he describes these creatures to us. Each had four faces---the faces of a man, an eagle, an ox, and a lion. These four faces turned in every direction, faced every way. After he saw the four living creatures, he saw certain wheels Ezekiel saw that these wheels were turning, one wheel within the other. As he watched he also saw a firmament (sky) above, shining in splendor, and above the firmament (sky), as he lifted his eyes higher, he saw a throne. And on the throne sat a man. . (These are described in an old song: "Ezekiel saw a wheel, way up in the middle of the air; the big wheel ran by faith and the little wheel ran by the grace of God, a wheel in a wheel, away in the middle of the air.") What Ezekiel sees is the power and the majesty of God.

I find it interesting that the four living creatures setting forth the character of God are always described as having the faces of a lion, a man, an ox, and an eagle. A lion is always a picture of sovereignty, of supremacy---"the king of the beasts." A man is the picture of intelligence, of understanding. An ox is always the symbol of servitude, of sacrifice. And an eagle is the symbol of power and deity, of soaring over all creation. Now the significant thing is that the four gospels present exactly these same qualities in Jesus Christ. He appears first in the Gospel of Matthew as the king---the lion, the king of beasts, and the sovereign of all. He appears in the Gospel of Mark as the servant, the ox. In the Gospel of Luke, he is man in his intelligence, in his insight, in his understanding of life. And in the Gospel of John he is deity. These four reflect the character of Jesus Christ.

I hope this hasn’t confused you, it is meant to show you how wondrous the works of God are and what we can expect in the future. Also now you know how powerful Christ is, He can and will come to you in many forms and fashions. Be prepared, no matter what form He comes in, for He is the Mighty I Am! I hope you will take these things and get into the word and read all the books, so that they complete you.

I ask God’s blessings on your life and may He give you visions and understanding.

"Mighty Rushing Winds"

“Mighty Rushing Winds”
Throughout God’s word we find many mentions of wind, the mighty Rushing winds, but do you understand this type of wind. I have felt and partaken of this wind in the House of worship as well as at a funeral. When my sister-n- law passed away, she had been doing a lot of wrong things but one thing I knew in my heart was that she has always knew God, she tried so hard to get back to Him, she had the most awesome voice and she loved singing for the Lord. The day of her funeral I was sitting on the front row next to her casket outside, the pastor was talking about her, when I felt a nudge, I looked over to my right and at the side of her casket I saw Jesus kneeling, his face was not there but I knew it was Him, when I questioned it I was told you will know by the mighty rushing wind that I am here, you are to let the others know I am here. Tell the others. The word was so powerful I couldn’t hold myself back, I was trembling, I couldn’t hesitate the Lord was waiting on me, so I spoke up and said I have a message, I don’t remember the full message for the spirit took over me, but I do remember saying for you shall know by my mighty rushing wind, and as soon as I had got that out of my mouth, the wind came in so strong that it almost knocked us out of our chairs, all I could think of was I have to praise Him. I cried and praised His Holy Name, I got up and went to the coffin and told everyone that Jesus had appeared before me on the side of her casket, for us to know we aren’t alone and that she would be ok. I didn’t want to leave that day; I wanted more of His mighty rushing wind. This had happened once before at my own dad’s funeral, the wind was so mighty it blew the flowers off dads casket, it gave us so much peace. Each time I go to my dad’s grave I ask God for His mercy and for that mighty wind.

Do you have God’s almighty wind in your life? Have you been filled with His undying spirit, been given His mercy? If not you need to ask, and seek this. God gives us so much, and He has so much more to offer, we have to desire it. This morning I am hungry for His mercy and almighty wind, I feel alone inside, desolate, and I want to feel His spirit, I ask for His divine sleep for my body. I ask for that wind to take me where my spirit and soul needs to be, to take back a life I used to have. God’s word gives us so many scriptures on this wind and love, below are just a few. Get on your knees today and ask God for understanding and wisdom in your lives.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. Acts 2:2

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. ... Acts2:1-5….please read thru vs. 47.

Know that the mighty wind is the voice of God, in spirit, but also know that satan has the power to send mighty winds as well, so please be cautious and know Gods word for protection. All this is given freely, just ask Him…God bless each of you today as I pray that God fills your souls with His everlasting spirit.

"Faith in my Dreams"

“My Personal Dream”

"For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction." Job 33:14-16

A dear friend of mine had troubled sleep as he re-lived pain, and loneliness but the Lord showed him the meaning of this dream. Many of us dream during the night, but how many of us have the same reoccurring dream over and over again. I have had the same dream for the past 4 or 5 years now, each one takes me back to a home I lived in at a different time in my life, and across the other side is a hill where I see people running, screaming, coming down the hill in a panic, I look back as I see myself being lifted up, in small levels, but I see homes behind me that are beautiful, like the most expensive homes ever with built in stores, I can’t seem to get there but I am escaping the fire that is starting on the hillside. I start up my sister’s drive to see her and I can’t get there, just people at the bottom now, they won’t let me come back? I go back to the porch of my home and there is so much destruction, trees down, half finished deck, but I see my German shepherd where she belongs. I am always focused on a home that is falling apart, from water stains on the ceilings everywhere to big holes in the bedroom ceiling, and the bathroom is unfinished. I hear a car, look out and always see people, but no faces, someone breaking in the kitchen door. I wake up exhausted with a cold sweat, crying. I am searching for something here that I do know, but what? I want to find the answers, last night as I dreamed this again, I saw my dad on the deck, he was telling me how to do something right, I tried to get to him, I couldn’t reach him. Where do I go now?
The first occurs after Jacob has duped his older brother and is fleeing for his life (Gen. 28:10-22). He is alone, running to his mother’s relatives. But he must stop to sleep. In this condition, he is a good candidate for an intrusion from beyond. He dreams of angels coming and going, messengers and promise-makers. He hears God’s voice of promise. The God rooted in his family promises land. This odd holy voice of the night also promises to be with this fugitive and to bring him safely home. This dream is one that we see the Holy one is giving instruction, giving him a promise from God.
Perhaps the best-known biblical dream appears at the conclusion of the visit by the Magi: "And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they left for their own country by another road" (Matt. 2:12). The Christ child is threatened by power (see v. 16; Exod. 1:16). In order to secure a future for the child, the voice of the holy intervenes in the night when the royal menace is at rest.
I can’t say I understand the full realm of dreams and visions, I know God has given me visions before that have awakened my spirit. I know in my own dream the part where I am being lifted means I am making way in the right direction of doing God’s work, for the rest I still don’t have understanding. I seek the Lord for answers to this, if you too have had dreams that disturb you or have shown you new beginnings, please send me an email and share. I would love to pray with you over these. God bless each of you and may all your dreams be good ones, and may all your answers be made known to you. If you are a witness for the Lord and have understanding into my own dream, please share with me via email and I will contact you. God bless!

"Scriptures for Everyday"

“Favorite Scriptures”

Have you ever ran into someone and just have nothing to say; I have done this on many occasions and wondered why after they left why did I not just share a scripture, leave them with something to ponder. I am human and sometimes it’s just easier to not mention God; how foolish have I been, that might have been the only opportunity I would get to bring someone peace or to God. Think about this the next time you are out. You never know who just needs a scripture. Below you will find easy, but yet encouraging words from Gods word, the Bible. Take time out and share them with others...Find comfort in God’s word for yourself.

“Who have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”- Psalms

12. Gal 5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

I ask God’s Blessings on your life as you take these and use them in your life, please take time to read the complete books of the Bible. Start your journey of reading the Bible in one year, but with Gods wisdom may it be used for His works.

Difference between Disciple an Apostle

What’s the difference between an apostle and a disciple?

Have you ever wondered what the difference is and why or how Jesus chose those few? I know I have wondered what made these twelve stand out, what does it take for us to be disciples?

Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV) 18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[ the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

The term apostle means to “send forth”. The word apostle didn’t come into play until after Jesus had ascended to Heaven. Then Peter in the Christian assembly gave the qualifications for an apostle as a preliminary to the choice of the replacement for Judas. Peter, Himself didn’t qualify to be an apostle, but Jesus appointed him.

Luke 6:13 (KJV) 13And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; 6:12-16 In these days [Jesus] went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God. 13 And when day came, he called his disciples and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles: 14 Simon, whom he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip, and Bartholomew, 15 and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot, 16 and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor

Acts 1:21-22 (KJV)
21Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

A disciple is a learner, or a pupil, one who wants to know everything so that they too can teach. Just as the 12 apostles were, they followed Jesus everywhere he went, learning from the Master, the same as if you were in school and the classroom teacher is teaching you a subject. A disciple does everything in their power to get that “A” to gain knowledge about Jesus so they can go out and become teachers to others. The twelve were chosen from amongst many others from their growth and ability to go out and teach when Jesus would be leaving to go back to Heaven.

An apostle means to send out…and this is what God did with the twelve chosen, he sent them out to spread His good news to all the churches. God chose those twelve because they were willing to give all to Him, to drop everything and follow Him as He taught, they allowed Him to teach them, they put God first.

Follow Jesus! Become His disciple! Know you are a sinner. Seek His cleansing touch. Ask for His miracle of grace. Value Him; seek Him above all. Ask for Wisdom. Take on His character.

Jesus is still choosing disciples to be those He sends out. He will send you. Are you ready?

A disciple in the church is someone who has chosen to follow the teachings and the practices of Jesus. And it is just as true today that an apostle is one sent out to begin churches cross the worlds and different cultures.

Father I ask for your mercy, your grace, and wisdom, I seek you and Praise you Father, I seek to be a disciple spreading your word, bringing in the lost. Father, guide me as I take this step and give me forgiveness as I have sinned yet again, release me from the impurities of the world, and give me strength to carry on and the desire to live for you. Father I thank you for your healing touch in this weak body and I ask for healing for all those that read this and for my family and friends, guide them each so that they too will pick up and walk in grace with you. I thank you for this all in Jesus Precious Name, Amen!
