“What’s the Rush?”

Don’t let time to pray wash away…

We're so tied up, so tense, so busy, rushing here and there, that we often don’t even stop long enough to let God know we are thinking about others, rather lone praying to Him on their behalf.

We don't have to stop, close our eyes, and get on our knees in a private place to pray. We can actually be praying for a person while we are talking to them or in our car on the way to work, or home. Don't we often think when we are with someone we love that we want God to bless them? Is that not a prayer to God for their wellbeing? Sometimes, we want all the possible blessings to flow into someone's life - we want them to receive all, even if we don’t have it, to be happy, and safe. It will sometimes come to you in a rush of emotion. Jesus can read our hearts, he knows if we are sincere, so please don’t use words with no meaning, nor waste Gods time if it’s not of your heart.

Have you ever just sat and listened as your child says their prayer, it’s so simple yet so heartfelt. God doesn’t need long drawn out prayers to hear your point, He has all the time in the world for you, He is never in a rush, however he doesn’t’ need fancy words, he Needs sincerity on your part. God governs every single moment of creation (Psalm 104). His eyes scan the earth, looking to strengthen faith (2 Chronicles 16:9 2 Chronicles 16:9 (KJV) ~ For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. ). Each day, He motivates His people to carry out His work (Philippians 2:13- 13For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure). But our God is also the God who rested after creation (Genesis 2:1-3) and has a season for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).

God may also be busy but He’s never rushed. When God walked the earth, He once again pushed aside all notions of being rushed. He refused to let the crowds dictate His pace (Mark 1:35-39 35And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. 36 And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. 37And when they had found him, they said unto him, all men seek for thee. 38And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth. 39And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.). He assured us that the Father was active (John 5:17), and that He did only what He saw the Father doing (John 5:19Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things so ever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.). His pace was in step with His power.

Psalms 46:10 be still, and know that I am God

Don’t be in a rush when talking to God, set aside time with Him, and please do not forget to give Him Praise for All that He does and has done for you, and all the answered prayers that you have received. God bless you my friends!
