Spiritual Joy

There are times in our lives where we feel like a budding flower that just will not bloom. Seems the minute we feel alive someone is always there to still the pollen right from our core. No one can see what the Lord has in store for us, they just see we are happy and full of joy and it angers them. Today I was so lifted up, filled with joy, been sharing the good news most of the day, when what happens. An evil spirit came and took more from me, as I was crying I wondered what it is I must do to get rid of the stinging bees that are swarming? This scripture came to mind. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6: 45(NKJV)

Joy is a fruit of the Spirit, which follows love; "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy" (Gal. 5:22), it attends faith and hope.

This is a spiritual joy - the Joy of Salvation! It is a product of heaven and cannot be stolen. This is what came to my mind. No matter how many times I get stung, no one will get the joy I have from within. Look about you and you will see misery on every hand. There is far more misery, pain and tears than we are able to describe. Broken lives, broken hearts and broken homes are in evidence in every country around this world.. Salvation is at hand!

Isaiah 12:3 "Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation."

To receive salvation one must ask for repentance, Psalm 119:155 "Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes."

Salvation can be had - by anyone - if they are willing to turn from sin. Bear in mind that salvation is a free gift which comes through Jesus Christ. No one deserves salvation. It is a gift made available by the loving kindness of the Most High. However, and this is a fact.

How, you may well ask, does a person receive the salvation of God? What does one have to do to obtain salvation? The answer to these vital questions is encapsulated in this magnificent text:

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Salvation always brings with it JOY.

Romans 15:13 "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."

Psalm 35:9 "And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord it shall rejoice in His salvation."
