"Leadership"

As I read the newspaper today, I start to think about the leaders of today, from our local government to our president down to those that lead us each day in our jobs. How are you as a leader in your home? Do you lead with authority and knowledge? Whom do you seek for answers when you are going thru difficult decisions in your life? . I would like to believe that in those that I deal with on a day-to-day basis I come across as knowledgeable yet wise in the fact that I take all things to Jesus, before making any decisions. His opinion is so important to me.
Good Moral Character "Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23). Bible's leaders, including Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Elijah, Hezekiah, Peter, and Paul all had great character. The Bible is the greatest book to read about good character, to see just how humble and sincere the leaders of that time were towards God.

Knowledge and Wisdom The Book of Proverbs is considered the book of wisdom. The book of Proverbs was written almost entirely by King Solomon. Solomon has been known through the ages as a wise man. The point that Solomon tries to drive home is that wisdom comes from knowledge and understanding. Listening is also taught in this book, and all of these work hand in hand. “A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:” (Proverbs 1:5)

• “Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.” (Proverbs 8:33)

• “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.” (Proverbs 9:9)

• “The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.” (Proverbs 18:15)

Perseverance Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. (Psalm 27:14)

He that endureth to the end shall be saved. Matthew 10:22

Never give up on anything in life that you feel is of God and worth working towards. Use what I have given to you here today, get the knowledge necessary to lead others as well as yourself, be wise and take all things to God, and listen carefully as He guides you, ask for Wisdom as Solomon did. The Lord knows your heart, be patient, for good comes to all those that wait on God with understanding. Your good character is really all you have, so make sure all that see you can see that Jesus shines in you. Please pray for all leaders that they may be of God and have the characteristics that God desires before you elect, before taking a new job, find out who you will be working with, and show love and understanding to your family and teach them the ways of the Lord so that you too are a good leader
