Doing good for others

Are you taking time out to help others? Sometimes that just means picking up the phone to see if someone is ok, if there is anything you can do to help them, or just have prayer with them. If only we could love our neighbors as we love our families, The Lord ask that we love our neighbors...why aren't you?

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Hebrews 13:16

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

Our Lord gives us the following biblical principle in regard to our helping others, “But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men” (Luke 6:35) .

in Paul’s letter to the Galatian brethren (Gal. 6:9-10), Paul he states, “And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” A companion scripture to the above passage would be Proverbs 3:27: “Withold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.” We are not to refuse exhibiting mercy and kindness to others when it is in our power to do it. The extent of God’s mercy and kindness toward us will be dependent upon our extending mercy and kindness toward others (James 2:13; cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:15).

These are just a few of the times the Bible talks about helping others. Take time out today to call a friend, let them know you care about them. Then take a minute and reach out to a stranger or someone you barely know and let them know Jesus loves them. God has done so much for you, what have you done for Him? Take time today to talk to God thru His son Jesus Christ, if it’s just to say thank you or please forgive me of my sins, He two wants our attention. Don’t go thru your day alone, He is with you always, show Him how much you love Him.

Lord bless all those that read this today and lead them to do better and teach them how to be a better neighbor. Please forgive them all their sins and I ask for you divine healing on their lives. Thank you for being my roommate, my neighbor, my best friend, I love you Father in Jesus Holy Name. Amen!

  1. This is a good lesson lesson for us all on a daily basis. We, as busy human beings, forget the little things that can help a person have a better day. So, I hope you are well, having a good day...God Bless you always...
