"What does being Lost mean"

What does it mean to be lost to God? If you do not know what it means to be lost, some things you will never find.. The Bible states, in Luke 19:10 that Jesus came into the world to seek and to save "that" which was lost.

God knew you before you were even born, He had already developed a love for you, and unfortunately that divine connection was lost after you were born. This is due to the fall of Adam in the Book of Genesis. Before Adam fell into sin, he and God had a very close relationship. They were so close that they walked together and chatted in the Garden of Eden every single day. After Adam fell, that close bond was broken. Though God wanted to continue to communicate with Adam, he could not do so because it is God's holy nature to not put Himself in the presence of sin. Romans 8:16 tells us: "The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God." First, we have the unshakable testimony from within us! The Holy Spirit of God constantly reassures us that we belong to Jesus Christ. Therefore, after Adam's fall, every person who was born after him was born into a world of sin. In order for Adam's sin to be forgiven and in order for every man and woman to be restored back to a rightful relationship with God, a sacrifice had to be made. God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to be that sacrifice. Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected so that every person can come through Him to be restored back to a personal relationship with God. This process of being reconciled is known as "salvation," a free gift from God to man that cannot be earned; it can only be received.
After receiving salvation, you are no longer lost because you have found your way back to God, through the shed blood of His Son Jesus Christ.
1 John 5:13 informs us that the entire Book of 1 John was written so that we can know that we possess eternal life in Christ. Do you know for absolute certainty that, if you were to die tonight, you would go to Heaven?
Do you love--really love-- Can you meet a total stranger, find out that they are a believer, and then have instant fellowship with them? Is there "something" in your heart that draws you to them and establishes a closeness, which cannot be explained any other way?

If you answered yes to this question, then know that God is in you, and He wants you back, He needs you back. His heartbreaks when one of His children is lost. Understand that ALL men ever born are sinners. Romans 3:23, says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Ephesians 2:8-9, the Apostle Paul reiterates this teaching that eternal life with God is a free gift. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast." No man can stand before God in eternity, and boast that they 'earned' their way to Heaven. All people in Heaven will be there only because of Jesus' FREE Gift, which He obtained from God because of His death sacrifice on the Cross.
'How can I obtain this free gift of eternal life'? Again, I turn to the Bible. In Acts 16:25-33, the jailer anxiously asked Paul, "What must I do to be saved"? Paul answered; "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved ..." verse 31". You must BELIEVE on Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. To truly believe, you must place your complete faith, trust in Christ, and rely upon Him as your only hope of salvation and eternal life. It is that simple my friends. You have to talk to Christ, let Him know how you feel, tell Him of your worries, He listens, I ask today for acceptance. Jesus is waiting for you, just reach out and call His name. Tell Jesus everything, for He already knows what you are going through, however He wants to hear it from you. BELIEVE, and then RECEIVE!
