Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee
Light removes darkness, reveals danger and shows paths clearly. When we live our lives for God, the sun shines more often than not. I know that when I have sidestepped I have found myself lost in the darkness, surrounded by deep dark depression, which feels like the light will never shine again. Have you ever felt like you have fallen into a dark hole, well that is how life feels without God as your light.
John. 8:12 Jesus says, "I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life."
We are reflected light, a light that shines if Jesus reflects us. Sun is the source of light and the moon reflects light from the sun to the earth. Jesus is our source of light and we are to reflect that light to others. Our lives are to reflect the mind and will of God! If we can understand that we are a reflection of Christ, we will be able to be better Christians. If you step away into the darkness, it will show that you have stepped away from Christ and are no longer serving Him.
1 PETER 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Ephesian 5:8-9 for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth. When it is daytime we see clearly because the light of the sun shines, however the real light shines from the word, the Bible. When was the last time you picked yours up? Is your space dark? Are you afraid of the dark? You have a way out, JESUS; He is your source of light.
If the Word lights your path then it exposes any hidden traps that the enemy has set in your path. The Word’s light cannot be overcome by powers of this dark world. This is Gods truth to you.
Now that the light is shining again in your life you must go out and help others that are lost in the dark. God bless you this day!
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
